...has officially signed with UK per other sites. Welcome Tate!
Most expect him to even if he's only half as good as advertised. Believe he's slotted to start at LT next year. Can he start from day one?

I will not be shocked if Leavitt & Young start @ the tackle spots (backed up by Meadows & Moiser) & GAA moves to guard.

247Sports’ fifth-ranked JUCO offensive tackle submitted his paperwork to the university today and will enroll in the spring to continue his college football career as a Wildcat.
A release from the program lists Leavitt at 6-foot-6, 310 pounds.
Yeah , I'm always curious how these highly ranked guys end up at JUCOS . Wonder what his story is .Wondering why this wasn't on here before now. Apparently turned down offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Louisville, Missouri, NC State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia. That's some pretty damn fine company to be in. I tend to judge guys based on offer sheets and that's pretty big. Why'd he go JUCO in the first place?

Like many OL, Leavitt got overlooked coming out of HS. He was rated a 5.4 2 star and he signed with Ohio. He left Ohio and transferred to Hutch JUCO where he blossomed and got more exposure. Now he's rated a 5.9 4 star by the same service and he has offers from many of elite football schools in the country.Yeah , I'm always curious how these highly ranked guys end up at JUCOS . I'd love love redshirt him, but I think you have to play Jackson next year. He's practically our only option for 2017 center. I'd rather he get snaps and experience next year so he is absolutely ready. He can lift in the summers. Maybe even back up guard so he can witness how Toth handles huddles and line calls. A lot counts on him and he has to step in ready to play game 1.I hope that Young doesn't need to play. I hope that Meadows improves enough that he can lock down RT. Problem is that I am not sure who we have that can backup RT/LT. Logan Stenberg and Mason Wolfe both redshirted and both were slated coming out of high school as being OTs. So, it is possibly that they step up and become serviceable backups. If that is the case then we can have a 2 deep like this:
LT: Leavitt - Mosier/Stenberg/Wolfe
LG: George AA - Haynes
C: Toth - Myers
RG: Ramsey Meyers - Mosier
RT: Meadows - Mosier/Stenberg/Wolfe
You'd also have Jarrett Larubbio, Jervontius Stallings, and Calvin Taylor as guys that could find their way into the rotation somewhere. With this I would have Young and Jackson both redshirting with the ability for Young to get some snaps for Leavitt in 2017, starting 2018, and Jackson getting the start for Toth in 2017.
