yes, if you are going to leave you do it in the spring window. he is not going to see a field again till next spring earliest. really strange he waited this long. the coaches liked him at so many positions seems like this would be a great place for him.Late November, early December best I can tell.

Which tells me this position transition was fully discussed. Would think his parents would have the attitude “give it a chance and see, then re-examine in the spring”. As you say, no field experience until spring and that can’t help his situation either.

I'm sure it's all just a big misunderstandingMaybe the problem for the kid was that the coaches liked him at so many positions instead of any one position such that he didn’t see where he really fit.
