Read an article about him keeping a 100,000$ bonus. It was supposed to be split between him and his assistants and a lot of his staff. Poor guy is only making like 10 million a year. Wonder how this will go over with his folks.
If he indeed keep that 100K. And it seems he did. That is a ***** move when you’re making 9.5 mil a year and some on the staff including GA’s ect: that work their asses off 80 plus hours a week make hardly nothing. Not a good look. But this guy doesn’t come across as a solid individual.

Mel Tucker was Kirby's first DC. I had never heard of him and never saw him do anything on the sidelines. Colorado hired him away, and no one cared. And then Mich St. hired him away at 9.5m per year for 10 years? How did someone who had accomplished as little as Mel Tucker has get that contract? But can't blame Tucker for signing it if State is going to offer it.

He's got a NC ring, was Big10 coach of the year in 2021, and was an NFL HC (interim) (for 5 games). He lasts 1.5 yrs at a position before moving on for some reason. Got to lock a guy like that down with a huge contract....
