My Dad in Hawaii
prior to deploying to the Philippines
My close friend Danny, God Speed My Friend, I'll be visiting you shortly.
We started at the Penn State Campus - Wilkes-Barre with 65 other engineering students during orientation.
(Danny became part of our close fellowship of a dozen or so guys)
Wrapping up the second year, Danny decided to drop out of school and join the Army as a Medical Corpsman.
A little more than a year later we received word from Danny's mother that Dan was killed in action.
When I have business at the Wilkes-Barre courthouse, I stop by the Veterans Wall, say a short prayer and pay homage to Danny.
