perhaps Frost will want to stay at UCF?
Why not until the ideal job opens up? Of course, Rocky Top and LSU could come calling very soon...and both of those jobs are ideal recruiting locations for his connections. GBR

That's a good possibility, he certainly doesn't have far to travel to recruit, and that's a big bonus for any coach.

Impressed with UCF's defense too. Shutting down a Memphis offense that put up almost 600 yards against UCLA.
Speaking of LSU, they better figure it out in a hurry, the men of Troy are getting it done so far against the Tigers. Why not until the ideal job opens up? Of course, Rocky Top and LSU could come calling very soon...and both of those jobs are ideal recruiting locations for his connections. GBR

He's very intelligent, as we know, and he's a very analytical/detail oriented type of coach.Plus he can win 10-11 games like clockwork and wait for the ideal next job assignment. The Husker kid ain't stupid folks!!! GBR
What connections are those?
How does he have connections to High Schools in the southeast?FL high schools. Outward from Orlando into the SE.
Biggest reason he took the UCF job. Again, the kid ain't stupid. GBR
Crazy fans and boosters at both those places too. I could see him taking a premier ACC or PAC 12 job though,

No way LSU fire Org after one year. Why not until the ideal job opens up? Of course, Rocky Top and LSU could come calling very soon...and both of those jobs are ideal recruiting locations for his connections. GBR
I disagree. 8 like the idea of spreading them out in the red zone horizontally because you can't really do it vertically.Of course it can work. Anything can.
But when you are that deep in their territory and go five wide it makes it easier to cover because you simply run out of room. The back line of the end zone becomes a 12th defender.
It allows the defense to completely abandon the run opportunity and lbs can drop into hook zones sooner.
P.A. will allow underneath routes to come open easier than 5 wide will. Corners can play tighter and safeties can be more lateral.
Could it have worked? Yeah...but it lessons your odds.
I'd just try to get the 2 yards and have three shots at the end zone, personally.
PAC 12 makes no sense. He is building on his the recruiting pipeline, either way. Not on the WC. I think the move was smart, because he will win lots of games at UCF and bide his time for a great job, while building a recruiting pipeline/HS relationships that would far outweigh anything on the WC.
Honestly, if you are not in SoFL, recruiting the West Coast is tough and there is lots and lots of competition. GBR
You said he took the UCF job because of his connections and that he should take the LSU or Tennessee jobs because of those connections. But prior to taking the UCF job, just over a year ago, he had only coached in the Midwest and Pacific Northwest. Doesn't add upHe coaches UCF. Orlando. You don't think he is developing relationships with HS coaches throughout the SE? C'mon...
Frost will leave UCF for another job. The stadium was half full. The support will never be there like it is for a top program. Herman left Houston for that reason. We better play our cards right and hire the right A.D. and go get him. The announcers gave you that hint during the game when they said Osborne was his biggest influence. The A.D. better have Osborne's blessing or the chances of getting Frost to way down.perhaps Frost will want to stay at UCF?

He's on Year 2 in the SE (generally speaking, especially being in Orlando, he can recruit both SoFL into Atlanta). I would imagine he and his staff are building HS relationships in this region. That is all I am saying. Reaching out to coaches in a region. I would assume he is accomplishing this basic recruiting function Headcard. Again, I don't think he's stupid. GBR

Here's the secret about college football:most everyone has fast players.UCF looks fast.
I can't believe UCF gave up so many points.Damn, Memphis just crumbled in this one..
I thought this would be a pretty good game..
Here's the secret about college football:most everyone has fast players.
What matters is how fast those fast p,a years can play and actually utilize their 40 times.
What helps them do so is confidence and being well prepared.
I am guessing that there is a good chance that UCF will be ranked next week...
He's well known in Cali from his days in Oregon. A UCLA or an Arizona State would be perfect for him.
Less talent outbound. SoCal is where the real talent lies and it is highly contested.
Meanwhile, where I live, is full of single Mom's looking for their Lord and Savior. Perfect recruiting grounds for a guy like Frost. GBR
Yesterday if we didn't take a knee and went for 2.I guess it doesn't take 3-4 years to change the culture of a program.
When's the last time we beat a conference opponent by 30+ points?
He gives a shite about the Midwest and Pacific Northwest when he took the UCFast job, recruiting wise. Again, just a logical and regional perspective Head, I am not trying to rile you up, just stating the obvious
I agree. The Oregon style offense works great against crap teams and finesse defenses. Line up against physical defenses and it crumbles.Guess what, every team in the SEC has speed. Frost's system probably won't work as well going against the crazy defensive speed of teams like Alabama and Georgia.
By comparison, there's not a whole lot of speed in the Big Ten West. They're used to playing against boring offenses like Iowa.

ASU will probably be looking. It would be the ultimate irony if he coached the school that put a 19-0 blanking on the two-time defending NC’s led by Scott Frost. He's well known in Cali from his days in Oregon. A UCLA or an Arizona State would be perfect for him.
