Big East rules. I thought UConn would win from the beginning of the tourney and when they announced the lineups last night I thought is was a sure thing. Purdue was so much smaller all around and for the first time purdue faced a tall center.

Big fast guys are better than small fast guys. Right!

Purdue had no guard play whatsoever. Other than Zach Edey at Center every other player on Purdue was giving up 3 to 4 inches. Once UConn figured out that the Purdue guards couldn’t buy an outside jump shot they collapsed on Edey and the game was over.

NCS had the same idea, remember when Purdue committed two over and backs in less than two minutes. Edey was a very bad matchup for NCS Burns.

I really underestimated Purdue. I had them out in Elite Eight. I only know what I read, but seems like Painter had a career year.

Women's College Basketball is more popular than Men's College Basketball. Why is this? SNL's entire cold open was about women's college basketball. Just a better product?

One year bump due to a generational talent (hopefully it gets more eyeballs on a whole, but this isn't going to suddenly become a trend).

I think we’ll be surprised. JuJu Watkins of Southern Cal is a freshman was crazy crazy good.

She is very good. But from a personality standpoint compared to Clark and Reese, she's dull. And personalities were a significant contributor to this season's story line.

Women's game was aired by split OTA/Cable. Men's game exclusively on cable channels. Viewership advantage to the women's game but I can't say how much.

I know my mother-in-law tried to watch the men’s game and couldn’t, so it was at least one person.

Purdue fans outnumbered UConn by probably the widest margin I’ve ever seen in a neutral site championship.

I joked with them that if they see a UConn fan they should report them to lost and found.

It reminded me a when Clemson showed up for their first NCG against Bama. I said to an older Bama fan that they were severely outnumbered. His response, “Son, those Clemson fans have been saving their money for 35 years to come to one of these games.”
