As I posted in my now-competing Mendoza transfer thread, I think his decision probably has as much to do with being Fernando's little brother and trying to be IU's starting QB after the monumentally historic season he/they just had. It would be an impossible situation.
True, and he might know he isn't as good as his older brother. Anything less than another incredible season and being an incredible QB and he would be pilloried.
Who the hell are you to assume anything about this guy just from him entering the portal?

Keep in mind, big brother transfered to IU from Cal. Too bad he didn't show integrity and stay with Cal. I'm sure staying at Cal would have had a better outcome.
I don't know about integrity. Cignetti went out and picked up Josh Hoover from TCU to be IU's presumptive starter next season. That combined with trying to be the next Mendoza at IU, and I can see why he is transferring.
I agree with you, this most likely had more to do with Indiana acquiring Josh Hoover in the portal. And nothing to do with integrity in my opinion.
I was referring to another thread where the poster said the reason there hadn't been any transfers from IU and Miami was because their players had integrity.
