XL pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms from my fav local shop
Smokin' the following... Pork Butt, fish and grilling lobster tails have cold beers and see what else I feel like later today.
While I'm not quite fully into fall menu mode just yet (though this morning's chilly bike ride may get me there soon), one of my favorite things about football season is that day when I make like a dozen stromboli for pulling out when there's a good game on.
Meanwhile, at the Midnighter Bar….Opening Game menu will be posted later tonight as I’ll be traveling to the game tomorrow.

Tonight though, it's homemade chicken salad for a picnic before Brent Cobb concert.
Just got back from total wine w/ a fresh 1/2 keg of Yueng. New tap lines installed last night. The Viking is running at about 34 degrees. Ready to go.

Question for AKB. Our house reservation for Homecoming does not have a grill. To the extent we don’t bring a regular size grill given the size of our party, we have to go with stuff that is made in oven,etc.
Some people will not want to do much advance prep or gameday prep.
AKB, can you provide some intel into good selections for trays or prepped food that you have picked up previously and from where. Thinking something more involved than wings, pizza, etc.

One word. Wegman's. They aren't my favorite market (I live in FL, so Publix...), but they do PSU game day right in SC and Williamsport as well. I've ordered food from them in the past for tailgates and it was seamless. They open super early so you can go get what you ordered online and be on your way.
Also, think about grabbing a Blackstone cooktop. Sets up on a tailgate table and is as functional if not more functional than a grill.
You don’t need a full size grill or accompanying 20# propane tank.
Sam’s Club etal sell some really nice tabletop grills/griddles. Just be sure to purchase one of these and a few 1# propane tanks (the little green ones that attach to the hand torches)
Concert review - Colton bowlin opening for Brent Cobb and the Fixins. Liked Bowlin - great voice, honest writing. Cobbs band incredibly tight and he’s a great writer, but a little too outlaw country/southern rock for my taste.

Right now, I’m enjoying the sun setting behind house mountain in Lexington va. The salmon was good, since I cooked it. But once she goes upstairs, the pretzels are coming out round about the second quarter. Particularly after starting the day with a 30 mile ride and 2000 foot climb, and looking at 40/3000 tomorrow
