They were sent there, on a rocket out of Antwerp, in order to maintain price controls on a rock that isn't really rare at all. LOL
This is useful information. So do we send child laborers to mine the diamonds and cut off limbs if they don’t meet their quota?

I get that, in most cases, you're pretty much duty bound to get the real thing, if you're popping the question (even though, logically, it's incredibly stupid to do so), but other than that, diamonds are just an absurd waste of money. They are not rare, and are intrinsically worthless (with regard to scarcity) It's a completely fabricated market. (Probably not telling anyone here, something they didn't already know) But more importantly, the market for them promotes some terrible practices.
