I imagine most recruits spend most of their social media time on Twitter, but for those of you who happen by here I just wanted to point out why I think playing for the Huskers may be for you even if you are well aware that our coach could lose his job.

I currently live in the Phoenix area and previously lived in Southern California. If you choose a school like ASU, USC or UCLA, you will get a fine education and play football in front of large, enthusiastic crowds for the 6 or 7 home games each Fall. Other than the game day Saturdays, you will be mostly invisible as pro sports dominate.

If you choose to come to NU, you will also receive an excellent education and play football in front of huge, rabid crowds. However, you will find life the entire year quite different from that you would experience in Phoenix or Los Angeles. People you meet every day will fall all over themselves for having the opportunity to meet a Husker football player. Unlike Phoenix or Los Angeles or most large cities, in Lincoln if you are a Husker football player you are given the keys to the city.

Good luck wherever you go!
