I am wanting to buy a metal detector, any advise on what would be the best buy? I keep seeing the name brand Garrett. I used to go with my dad, now I would like to take my grandchildren with me. I would like to keep the price range around 3-4 hundred range. Thanks

Try renting a detector before purchasing. Garrett is great, as is White and a few other brands.
