Corey, thank you and Happy New Year to you as well. I really don't post on holidays. Personal choice. Like others here, I'm sure, I had a lot going on during the holidays. I also, really didn't have anything to say or felt the need to jump into some threads. I have nothing more to add to what I was posting a while back.
I had something to say about the Alabama, Washington game so I started a thread. I have been checking in a little and hanging around to read.
It's a new year but nothing here changes. You have a lot of guys with a lot of opinions. Kind of interesting but, the threads that always get and maintain the most legs are the ones filled with arguments and nastiness, regardless of who starts it and who posts. I think it would be impossible to find anyone here who hasn't been in an argument.
Corey, there are people here who I like and some others I don't care for. They don't like me either so we're even, I guess. But, I don't hold grudges, like some others, and I have never let negative things people say, who don't know me, bother me, especially on this board. It rolls off and it's meaningless.
One of these days we have to sit down and have a few cold ones whenever you come around. I would look forward to that. Have a happy and prosperous new year.

We've disagreed on things, like Jordan Lynch and something else I can't even remember, but it's the just a thread and a board, not to be taken seriously. For all the times we disagreed I have agreed as many. Hell, I agreed with you about the Cubs even, and I'm a Sox fan.
As a website owner, notably one with a board, you learn the divisiveness of the Web. However you also see the way people from all over actually form bonds. That's why I joke around here, as I always feel people can joke in a place of very open communication. As we see with some, even today, not everyone is capable of understanding the fun, follies, foibles and faults of message boards.
So I hope you can see my point, as I see yours, and build a bridge.

Disagreements is what makes a forum great. You can learn something from different point of views. I think the name calling is a little childish but, you have to take the bitter with the sweet.
I enjoy the offseason on this board. Keeps me entertained until the season starts when my Spartans will be getting thrashed again. oh how a few years change things.

come on, my threads regularly get 200 views and i always keep it rated g. One year, however, i instigated a benet argument. I must admit, i was acting like a cur.
I know you are kidding NNFAN. Did you happen to see the gathering in the other side of town? The little snowflakes decided to riot and do property damage and set fires...again. Over 200 were arrested. I hope the judge throws the book at them. Again, this is from the people who preach "tolerance" to the rest of us all the time. We really don't need to explain how the left is the most intolerant, most violent and most disgusting people on the planet. We can witness it for ourselves. What the morons still don't get is that in the end this will only help Trump because it solidifies what we say about them.
Did you see Chuck Schumer's speech? What was interesting about it was the fact that a Republican Congresswoman said he wasn't on the program. She said "when he started to speak we all looked at our programs and he wasn't on it. We wondered what was going on." I can't say if he was or wasn't on the program, but it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't. What a clown.

Corey, we had a great time. We had two sets of t-shirts. One read, "Make America Great Again" and the other read "I Survived Obama." Fun was had by all. Wish you could have been here. You would have loved it. Someday we'll run into each other. Looking forward to it.

I meant from the politicians at the luncheon, I wasn't aware Schumer said anything divisive. I though everybody was mostly well-behaved. The protesters are another story, although I actually anticipated worse. Their turnout was a fraction of what was expected.

PJJP. Very good post. Probably your best so far this year because it reveals some truths. A couple points.
We all have to make an effort to look at the positive side of everything, correct? This is how I view the "women's protest and march" on Saturday. Think about it, in his very first full day in office, Donald Trump was able to get more overweight women up off the couch and walking than Michelle Obama did in eight years of trying. That's a good thing, right? Mrs. Obama lectured us for eight years on the importance of exercise and in one day, Trump gets results.
On a more serious note, You just made one of my points (wittingly or unwittingly) completely. A warning that if I wore a shirt expressing who I voted for I might be accosted. This is yet another, in the many examples, of intolerance from the left. Remember the two young guys who beat up the middle-aged white guy and as they did, they accused him of voting for Trump? Remember that? If you watched the mainstream media you probably would have missed it.
Think of all of the private property these thugs have destroyed. Millions worth.
Remember all those riots right after Obama made his inauguration speeches? Remember when people on the right were beating people up on the left because they voted for Obama? You don't? Oh wait...that's right. You don't, because it NEVER HAPPENED.
Here is something else ironic. Starbucks donated either $500,000 or $1,000,000 to Hillary's campaign. Not sure which. In their rioting, the little snowflakes smashed the big Starbucks window in D.C. I wonder if Starbucks wants their money back to fix this. Same thing happened to a bank window. I think it might have been Bank One. They made a contribution and what they got in return was a smashed window.

I just thought of something. I am NOT happy with the results of the NFC and AFC championship games. I am going to lead a protest against those results. Those results are illegitimate and our voices need to be heard! Anyone with me??

No I actually like the 2 teams playing in the Super Bowl. Actually think it will be a good game with Patriots coming out on top. I am always amazed why people do what they do. Protesting, vandalism etc. what is it going to change? Nothing except get themselves thrown in jail! Stupid I tell ya just stupid!
I like the two teams as well. I am with you. I think the Pats will win but I am not taking the Falcons lightly. I just want to see a good game. I very much enjoyed watching the Packers get their asses handed to them. I watched the whole game.
As far as how people act I also agree. On one hand I am so disgusted with it and on the other hand, in the end, it helps Trump and further exposes the left as the hypocrites they are.
I am sure by now you have heard of the tweet the SNL writer Katie Rich made about Trumps 10-year-old son Barron. She tweeted that he "will be this country's first homeschool shooter." What an incredibly stupid broad. She only apologized after SNL suspended her indefinitely. Can you imagine what would have happened if anyone had said something like that about Obama's kids? How about Madonna saying she has thoughts about blowing up the White house. She's another onion head. The CIA came down on her *** and she backpedaled quickly.

You do realize that a quick google search shows that Limbaugh, Beck, Coulter, and a GOP staffer all talked about Obama's kids. Let's not act like one political party can look down on the other on such issues.
Did any of them call the Obama kids future murderers? Didn't think so. Show me an example of that. I never said people didn't say anything about the Obama kids.
