Yep, that’s why all records are being erased and there are dozens of players scoring 25+ on any given night.

NBA defense is a joke.
The offense is just that much better when it’s cooking. When you go live it’s amazing the kind of shots they routinely make. They mostly switch on time and everything is usually guarded decently well. So many 3’s now that scores explode when they make them. I bet they hit 15 3’s in the half.

That said they need to call traveling, palming, and let them hand check again.

I don't think it's a matter of lack of defensive effort or lack of defensive talent or coaching. I just think there is just so much offensive talent that it can't be stopped with current rules. Excessive continuations for the offensive player and no hand checking or bumping for the defense just makes it impossible when you have so many players that just can't be guarded one on one by anybody. I guess it's for ratings but it's not the same game at all as the one many of us loved from decades past.

OP just wanted to take a shot at the NBA for whatever reason. I would've went with the gambling scandal but he went with defense. Basically NBA guys are just really, really, really talented and when a player or lineup is hot, they're HOT. I'll never understand crapping on insane scoring and I don't recall UK fans doing so during some of our impressive runs over the decades. Lord knows lockdown D and low scoring isn't going to put butts in seats and drive up ratings. The Bucks beat the Raptors tonight 122-116. Hands up if you wanted the score to be 81-75 instead...

I do have to say that giving up 86 in the first half can get you fired really quick in the NBA. That coaching staff is officially on the hot seat already.

Exactly, they are allowed to take one dribble and score from half court.
