There was a late hit which also was targeting involving Mendoza early in the game which was ignored by the officials

That Mendoza run is one of the best individual efforts, especially considering the situation, in college football history. He just would not be denied. Looked like he might get stopped short and turn it over, instead he picks it up and dives into the endzone. What a competitor.
Indiana D can't get any pressure on Beck. He has all kinds of time to find receivers. And Miami's #10 is slicing them up.
Man, Toney is so good for Miami. I know they say it all the time but it really is incredible he should still be a HS Senior. They always make a big deal out of that but he’s the best I’ve see that’s re-classed and played as a true freshman.
This game has been entertaining in the 4th quarter for sure. IU is going to have to go get another score I think. Miami is clicking offensively in the 2nd half.

Becker is freaking awesome too. They said he didn’t even play much first 7 games?!?! Dude is a stud. Some big time playmakers in this game. Fun to watch.
That was such a brainfart playcall having little #8 try to run it up the middle on 3rd down. Miami only needs a TD to win this now.

Having said that, I'm getting really tired of these TV announcers calling in the "rules experts" because it doesn't matter what the foul is or even if there is a no call....the "rules expert" is nothing more than a shill for the referees. I'll give you an example:
Any play, NFL or College, while a play is happening, hypothetically a Linebacker or any defensive player reaches up under his jersey and pulls out a samurai sword and proceeds to chop the legs off a running back and there is no flag....... the rules expert is called in by the TV announcers and the rules expert basically says "Yeah, that's a good no call." - It's unbelievable how stupid these shills sound. They side with refs every single time. It's complete BS and not worthy of being aired.

One reason I'll never pull for Miami is the thug persona they work so hard to maintain. Anytime they have a decent team they try so hard to relive the thug image from the 80s.
They tried hard to injure and take out Mendoza early in the game but failed.
Back in the 80’s when Todd Ellis was our QB we played them in Miami and a fight started. Ellis started towards our sideline and a Miami player closes in on him and hits him in the back of his head. I think Blades was the last name of the Miami player and he went on to play in the NFL. Jimmy Johnson was the Miami coach at the time. They definitely have a history of thugery.
