BK’s performances this season are not the norm. Not even close.
This is so hard to watch. If it was one or two wrestlers who weren't shooting, or showing any urgency, it would be one thing, but outside of Caliendo, and Drake, this entire team has zero offense, just all around hard to watch
This feels like the end of the McCaffery era though.

If you think Cassioppi “regressed” or blame Telford for Stoll when he only coached him for the season Stoll’s body was but a shell, that really says it all. You also conveniently left out coaching Bradley freaking Hill to the national tournament.
Though not spectacular, Telford is a very solid coach. Iowa is consistently good to very good at 197 and HWT and Telford is a big part of that. What’s happening with BK this season—whatever it is—is not the norm. Not by a long shot.
That was impressive beating the 15th ranked team 5 to 5. Our guys stepped up and really performed tonight. We are looking forward to OSU next week should be a good warm up for the big tens. Beth is waiting in Toms office to extend his contract 4 more years. Let’s keep the momentum going.

He wrestled in the U23 Nationals two years ago and got third, so I'd bet he'll stick around for a bit. Spencer praised him as a training partner before the Olympics as well so keeping him around might be beneficial for that as well.
