Would think Hughes missing weight landed him here, but then not sure what happened with Jamison
Freshman get 5 dates to wrestle while on redshirt.
Also you can't wrestle unattached until second semester as a freshman

This could be a fantastic weekend with so many Cowboy wrestlers competing in these 2 tournaments. Rarely have we had this opportunity to see starters and so many future potential starters wrestling in these 2 tournaments. Also, it appears both tournaments will be on flow and I will be able to see so many matches. I hope to see great wrestling by many of the Cowboys.
Well, it seems we won't have 2 tournaments this weekend. I will watch some of the Michigan State Tournament. No surprise but I will especially be watching 133 Hughes, 141 Jamison, 184 Thompson, and 197 Merrill. Their development seems most important to our present and especially our future.
Gonna be great to see some OK State wrestlers on the mat today at this tournament. Ready to see the progress this team has made!

Cael had 6 takedowns, and 2 easy escapes. Most of the takedowns were off Cael shots and a couple were off his opponent's shots. Hughes looked very solid and did not seem to have any conditioning problems but when you are dominant conditioning usually doesn't come into play. Good match.
