That is bad news. I was really looking forward to seeing Thompson wrestle.
Jamison wrestled a solid match with 4 takedowns. He didn't seem to have any conditioning problems. Nothing stood out.
Oh boy. Was he trying to wrestle 184 today?
Dang. I guess walking around over 200 and international travel makes it hard to cut 20-ish lbs.
Cody Merrill looked real good with a takedown on a good shot, ground his opponent for over a minute then turned his opponent for the pin.
JJ's Match against Kak Keller was a little concerning. He spent the majority of the first OT letting the guy lean on him, then kind of got lucky the other guy tried a throw that didnt work...
Robb ground his opponent in the 1st period after a takedown. Then in the 2nd period just blew through his opponent with strength and quickness for the tech.
Workmanlike 17-3 win. Woulda liked the tech there.
149 - Sheets with a 17-3 MD. He really took control in the 2nd & 3rd periods.
My bad…. Track listed it only as C. Young so I assumed.
Tagen Jamison didn’t look very good. Rode out in the second period.
As indicated by Cowboy medic Hughes won by a major decision. Cael got 3 takedowns off of his opponent's shots where he worked to gain control. Cael did not seem tired, wrestled solid but was not impressive.
I agree, but won by major. His opponent from some real small school was very tall and got his legs in several times and rode out the 2nd period. Why not sit out strong and turn in. Jamison when he had a restart did exactly what he did at the beginning of the period ( no movement trying to stay stable and the legs got in again). Tagen did look good on his feet with 4 takedowns and won 12 to 3.
