Probably the best outcome for the Championship the two teams that were not controversial picks. I still think Georgia got screwed dropping to 6th. I doubt that would have happened had it not been Championship week. Espn probably wanted a new champion.

I mostly agree upto the BS line about ESPN. I don't believe in conspiracies of any type. There were 6 teams worthy of 4 spots. Georgia had their chance to be one of the four and lost. I believe Georgia is the top team based on the eye test but it is more than that in this imperfect system. I live in Georgia, 3 of my 5 kids went there, I follow the team closely, I despise their fanbase as I do with most SEC schools but I must say Kirby and the fanbase handled the controversy properly and accepted their result very well. Then they went and kicked *** in their game. My hat is off to the Dawg nation.

TCU got in last year after losing their conference title game. Georgia loses theirs and they choose Alabama. They had to take Texas because they beat Bama.

I don't know if there are any conspiracies or not but things sure do seem to be dumbfounded when humans are involved in the choice.

Picks are made by record, then schedule, then players and then who draws the most on the media and in the stands. FSU was left out because of injuries to their star QB, poor schedule, and poor ratings.

If you think 12 is going to stop the controversy you are wrong. All 12 is going to do is make SEC teams happy and Big 10 teams happy.

Look at what we could have had:

FIRST ROUND

No. 12 Liberty at No. 5 Florida State

No. 9 Missouri at No. 8 Oregon

No. 11 Ole Miss at No. 6 Georgia

No. 10 Penn State at No. 7 Ohio State

QUARTERFINALS

Liberty-Florida State winner at No. 4 Alabama

Missouri-Oregon winner at No. 1 Michigan

Ole Miss-Georgia winner at No. 3 Texas

Penn State-Ohio State winner at No. 2 Washington

That means SEC would be happy and Big 10 would be happy.
4 - SEC
3 - BIG 10
2 - PAC
1 - ACC
1 - G5
1 - Big 12

I think the system is rigged and I have always felt that way since year 1. The first year we saw Ohio State pass TCU and Baylor because of a Blowout win over Wisconsin in the Big 10 championship game. I doubt that OSU gets in if it were Texas or Oklahoma in the way. I don't think a 1 loss Oklahoma State or Kansas State team jumps FSU and Georgia for winning the Big 12 if they were ranked 7th going into the game. Espn has been meddling in the affairs of college football for years especially conference realignment. I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't be meddling in the playoff choices.

I guess under the new rules if you don't get a bye you will have to win 4 games in the playoffs. If thats the case the Big 12 is pretty much screwed. I can't see the new look Big 12 getting a bye week and having a team good enough to win 4 in a row.

You can feel whatever you want. Doesn't impress many people that deal in reality.

It’s about timing. Had Georgia lost to Alabama earlier than the last week of the season, they’re easily in the playoff.

Comparing the selections from one year to another is absolutely stupid. It is one dimensional thinking at its best. Seasons stand on their own and the results of the teams versus that schedule in that year is so very different than any other. This year, there were 6 teams very worthy. Timing of the loss is a deciding factor as the conference championship games took on more importance than the year before. Very simple.

Florida State would have made the Playoffs, if its back-up quarterback did in the ACC Championship Game what Cardale Jones did to Wisconsin in the B1G Championship Game in 2014. Neither TCU nor Baylor would have beaten No. 1 Alabama in the CFP semifinal and stomped No. 2 Oregon with its Heisman Trophy winning quarterback in the CFP Championship Game, so the Committee obviously got it right in retrospect.

I Doubt FSU gets in, and that OSU team would have never jumped Texas or Oklahoma especially when they got smoked by Virginia Tech at home. The committee would not have overlooked that if Texas or Oklahoma was in the way. Osu is nothing but a perennial door mat for the SEC in bowl games. Got embarrassed again this year like usual.

Nobody cares what you doubt. Your troll attempt is incredibly lame, as only one school has played in 10 consecutive NY6 bowl games, and won the majority of them. Neither Texass nor Chokelahoma has done diddly squat in the CFP. I have the receipts. Run along now, as you're the worst troll on here.

Choosing playoff teams by a selection committee that has changed the way and the why a team is selected every year.

There would never be issues if they would take the 10 conference champions that they have every season then add 2 wild cards. You want in then win your conference championship. I don't care if there is one team that is 7-5. You want to be paid then don't cry about a 7-5 team in the playoffs. The pros do it. Why not you?

This could also stop the realignment crap.

So basically, they move the goal posts year to year is that what you're trying to say.

What exactly am I trolling troll? You're the guy that got banned under your Tosu account. Who cares what Oklahoma and Texas have done. Ohio State hasn't done anything in almost a decade. You guys are one of the biggest jokes in bowl games year in and year out. If you played in the Sec you would be 8-4 7-5 on most years. You get smoked by the big boys in the Sec and you can't even beat the upstarts like Missouri. Your coach is a loser and Michigan is now your daddy.

BTW no way you jump Texas or Oklahoma if it were them standing in your way.

^^^ TownesVanZandt, who has at least 25 other banned profiles, thinks we don't know who he is. Nobody cares about your man love for Texas and Oklahoma, two programs that have won as many College Football Playoff games as you have, clown. Keep trashing the only college football program to play in a New Year's 6 bowl game in each of the last 10 seasons (winning six of them), and telling us how great the two Big 12 defectors are, so that I can keep laughing at you...LOLOLOL
