I would imagine all 3 KY boys will get more offers. Good for them! I'm not worried about losing any of the 3 :sunglasses:

I would say our staff is much better at getting in on underrated talent early than the Michigan staff is. Of course they don't have to look for talent as hard as we do.

Not worried about Kash, Drake and Landon, but this is one reason that I hate these all-star camps and games. They are nothing but recruiting rodeos for the top college programs. While college coaches can't attend, they are run and staffed by runners, agents and hanger-ons of the Alabamas, Michigans and USCs of college football. HS coaches can attend and comprise the coaching staffs - and we all know that HS coaches are completely unbiased...

As an aside, there were some posts on a UF board that they are going to make a last-ditch effort to try to flip Landon. Not worried, but just an FYI...

So Michigan is offering a guy who's already enrolled at UK? I realize lots of team offer guys who've made verbal's, but isn't offering someone who's already enrolled a bit over the line? That's a question, not an opinion though I guess if I had one my answer would be yes. Just looking to understand if this kind of thing is also common.

So nice to have recruits the big boys want to flip.

I don't think he had enrolled before the weekend but I could be wrong.

Or I might be. I hope so. They already picked up the best senior in Colorado this year. I'd really like to see UK keep this young man. We've got to keep as much of the D1 talent from Kentucky as we can.

Michigan has a kick arse defense, so this is a compliment to Kash and the UK fan base. We get to enjoy Kash for the next 3-5 years!!!

Is the young man from Henry Clay still solid with the Cats? I thought I read something about him and some possible interest in Alabama.

Robinson (Davonte who I think is the best in High Scool of all the others) He is only a 3 Star with Rivals but that is due to him not accept camp invitations! He has the speed to a star!!!

It is good to hear programs like Michigan and Florida are trying to flip guy committed to UK. It sure beats hearing UL Monroe and Florida Atlantic trying to flip a UK commit.

Yeah? When did that happen?

During Brooks last year and into the Joker era we were regularly taking commitments from guys who only had offers from programs such as those, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Toldedo, etc. I'm sure those schools were still actively trying to land those players at their respective school after committing to UK.

No. We did not have recruits flip to those schools and were not in danger of that happening.

School started last week for UM and they have a big early admission class. If Daniel had any interest in UM, he would have to put his entrance off to the summer, unless he wanted to rush the process and start behind in the classroom.

I never said anyone flipped to those schools or there was any danger of that. All I'm saying is its better to be competing with good programs for recruits vs trying to find diamonds in the rough against mid majors.

Well, I just responded to your post.

I can see why you took it that way. But it's not like these mid majors quit recruiting guys because they commit to power house UK. I'm sure they did try to flip guys.

I should have just stated it's nice to be competitive in recruiting.

I am not sure whether Middle Tenn quit recruiting Bud Dupree or not. But, I know that no fan was worried about UK recruits being flipped by those teams.

Fair enough. But my point was that it's nice to be worried about recruits flipping. It means we are going after good/great players.

This is why I wish they would add an early signing period. I hate having teams trying to come in at the last second and poach our recruits. Some commit to us because we are their best offer (we are good at finding hidden gems) until a bigger football school realizes what they missed and offers and they jump on that instead of our offer. If basketball can have an early signing period then so can football. Just have it in late July or early August.
