Meat chicken goes 1-1 at best. Didn't Hoke look like a world beater his first
Year too?

I like the passion he coaches with and how his teams get better but slow the lovefest

This is why I got so tired of the "Harbaugh will inevitably fail" threads that seemed to appear here daily this summer. I don't care for the guy at all, but he's a home run hire that made all the sense in the world for Michigan.

I was not really impressed with either team when Michigan lost to Utah in the season-opener, but it looks like both teams got it together in a hurry.

Ha! Best in conference? How about best in all of football. But they were pretty stout defensively last season too. Now they have an offense who plays ball control and doesn't put them on the field in bad position now.

Michigan had two real good classes in 2012, and 2013. 2011 has fifth year people left, 2014 rated at 31st on Rivals. Overall a solid group of players.

He cost them 7 million, and he'll last 4-5 years before he alienates everybody and is back to the NFL.
he cost them 5 million a year. he got 7 million this year because he got a 2 million dollar signing bonus

If Nebraska wants to ever return to the top 25, we need this type of hire. Money needs to be no object next go around (hope sooner than later)

hoke also had a losing record as a coach before he got the Michigan job. 3 winning seasons in 8 years before Michigan. he won early because of denard robinson.

Michigan rotate 8 guys on the dline. the starters. 3 3 stars and 1 walkon. the backups 2 3 stars and 1 4star.

Harbaugh inherited some nice talent, but he's also recruiting his *** off to maintain that talent. Four 4-star OL committed for 2016. The guy gets it.

If Eichorst really thought we needed a complete rebuild, why would he hire a 62-year-old coach? It doesn't make much sense. I like what I hear about O'Brien, but until we start recruiting some monster linemen and awesome receivers, it's not going to matter much.

Bottom line NU needs to pony up the dough. Or we could just keep doing what were doing because its worked real well so far.

And the rest of the team?

Also we don't even have 8 guys to rotate on the dline.
wasn't trying to compare anything to Nebraska. the 22 starters 2 5 stars, 9 4 star, 7 3 star, 1 zero star, 3 walkons.

I don't think he will fail. I hope he burns himself out and gets the itch to go back to NFL. You can't come that close to a Lombardi trophy and not have the itch to try again.

Yes they are for real, what a difference a coach can make. JH knows how to win in this conference.

Yes Harbaugh knows how to win this conference and will dominate it when other schools are being idiots are hiring 500% career coaches that are 62 years old.
