Mike Ditka will be replaced as a panelist on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown, it has been revealed.

The announcement came less than a week after Ditka, both a former player and coach for the Chicago Bears, revealed he believed Barack Obama was the worst president 'we've ever had'.

Ditka, who has been a main panelist for the ESPN show since 2006, said Obama was a 'fine man' but not a leader when he went on WABC'S The Bernie & Sid Show last Thursday.

'He would be great to play golf with,' Ditka continued.

Lawsuit forthcoming in light of ESPN reprimanding the lady who called Trump a White Supremacist.

What Ditka said was false. What the "ESPN Lady" said is true.
No, Ditka was right or at least close to it. Carter would give him a race to the bottom. That ESPN analyst was the racist.

Some just cannot tolerate the truth backed by large volume of fact.

Glad you support fascism and suppression of basic freedom. Hell of an attorney you are.
lol It's a sports show not a news commentary show. Ditka understands that now besides ESPN has been cutting staff and Ditka just helped them pick the next one to leave.

And Ditka was probably making 10 times what the woman whose name no one can remember who said something negative about Trump.

They are cutting costs at ESPN. Ditka gave them a reason to dump his salary. Not the Ditka said anything horrible, but he strayed away from sports.

I'm saying that ESPN is looking for reasons to cut big salaries. Ditka gave them a convenient excuse. What he said wasn't bad, but it was enough for ESPN to grab onto as an excuse.

I'm not saying they can't do it, the problem with terminating people is that you have to have consistency so someone can't turnaround and sue for wrongful termination. I'd have to bet Ditka is also in a protected class because of his age.

Moreover, there has been a systemic pattern within ESPN to remove individuals who are outspoken Republicans or just not on the Obama fan club and retain with minor reprimand individuals who lean the other direction. This behavior shows a type of institutional bias and discrimination that can easily be turned into a lawsuit.

I'm in an At Will state, and I still have to jump through endless hoops with HR and legal when I want to term someone.

I think that was mule's point though right? That they wanted to let him go anyway, but now the fear of political backlash gets legal and hr on the side of lopping off the old gum chewing, angry weirdo?

White House says Jemele Hill's comments a "fireable offense". Do they feel the same way about those that got fired for walking alongside white supremacists in Charlottesville? Bet that's "freedom of speech". ;)
