There could be two parts to the debate. There is only 1 SEC team in the top 30 in YPG in the NCAA this year (Ole Miss). 6 PAC 12 teams and 6 Big 12 teams are in the top 30. So, which is harder to do...score against SEC teams or contain Big 12 and Pac 12 teams?
How many of those PAC-12 teams made it to the final four? How well do you think the PAC-12 would do if the top teams from the SEC and the PAC-12 played and then the second best teams played so on and so forth. I really don't think they would fare too well myself. And that's even though the SEC is down a bit. Stanford is about the only quality team out there maybe Oregon but they are down this year. You really think Utah, USC, or UCLA are all that?

Stanford would pay Bama, Oregon would play Ole Miss, after that who do you think would beat Arkansas, Florida, Miss State, LSU, Tenn.,?

OK that would be Oregon State (2-10) vs South Carolina (3-9) I'd take SC
next Colorado (4-9) vs Vandy (4-8) I would take Vandy's defense here too

i think the only way to compare honestly is remove the best and worst team from sec so it's 12 v 12 and you can't go by total record since P12 plays 9 conf games. so I wouldn't put vandy against colo. no matter how you did it and I think buffs give a game to at least 5 sec teams. they really came on competitively in their last 4-5 games.

It's such a hard thing to debate. Oregon is a completely different team with a healthy Vernon Adams (he missed the Wazoo game and played 1 quarter in the Utah game). I just wish there were tie-ins with PAC12 and SEC teams. It drives me nuts that these 2 conferences don't have very few bowl games against one another.

So....now people are saying the PAC 12 is better than the SEC.....all just to argue Leach is a good coach?
If you're speaking about me, I wasn't saying the PAC12 was better. I'm not a Leach fan like others. The type of play is just so different between those conferences (and the Big 12) (offense vs defense), you wonder if that has anything to do with the poor defensive numbers for Wazoo.

and I am a Leach fan but never said P12 was better either. no one did, the guys either trying to start something or suffers from reading comprehension issues.
