That offense will not work in the Southeastern Conference.
Any offense will work anywhere IF your "talent level" is (1) adequate to run the offense AND (2) is not totally inferior to your opponent. [winking]

Please explain why? Worked OK in big 12 and seems to be working fine in P12... Look for them to beat Colorado and Washington to win p 12

Have you seen anybody run that offense and win the SEC? Hal Mumme got 7 wins in regular season. Granted I don't know how well Leach can recruit but I don't think the pass first offense would be successful. Just my two cents.

Well, rushing for 400+ yds didn't exactly work this Sat either. This team needs an SEC caliber D plain and simple.

There may be a new Oregon in town.

Crazy offensive jedi coach. Tempo and style that is hard to keep up with. Taking Pac 12 by storm.

Scary thing is, WSU can get better. Leach is doing it now with mostly under recruited 3 stars. After a season like this and definitely if he has another good year next year, the talent will come.

The new power structure after USC seems to be Washington, WSU.

The thing about the Pac 12 is that there isn't 3 other P5 conferences all bunched up and competing for the same talent on the west coast.

Which is why Chip Kelly can pop off at Oregon, Harbaugh can put Stanford on the map, Petersen can have UW in the play off picture, and Leach can get WSU rolling.

Forget SEC, if I'm a coach on the up and up, I'm looking at the Pac 12. Enough talent to go around, not an extremely deep conference outside of USC and the couple flavors of the week that pop up here and there. Not nearly as much pressure and impatience.

The only thing I worry about in a Leach offense is red zone offense. Can he punch the ball in when he needs a yard or two. Can he run out the clock?

Texas A&M seems to do OK with this offense in the SEC. It was what the one poster said You have to be able to play defense or it doesn't matter what kind of Offense you play. Pass for 400 yards with Mumme and loose run for 400 yards with Stoops and loose. Common denominator is piss poor defense.

Maybe, but with the game in Boulder, and being the biggest game played here in a decade or more I like the Buffs.

Interesting to see MacIntyre having success at Colorado. His name was thrown around a lot during the last search. Of the most prominent names during that time - Petrino, MacIntyre, Leach, Dykes and Stoops - only the last two haven't broken through. And before you try and argue the others coach in weaker leagues, the SECE has become a punch line for the national media.

Leach should have this team in the playoff discussion. WSU fans knew they would be fighting for a Pac title. But, the first two unexplainable games derailed that goal.

Along with the Pac. What's impressive about CU's MacIntyre lead resurgence is they are doing it with 3 star recruits. They had the lowest ranked recruiting class in the Pac each of the last 4 years. I don't know it, but it's likely much the same for WSU.

That is a missing piece for this team. The Defense has improved, but still has some holes to fill. I will be interested to see the steps this team takes next year. The extra practice for the bowl game will be huge for growth. GBB!

Mumme won 5,7 and then 6 games before the scandal hit. And he won those amounts totally ignoring
field position, special teams and defense. It was only offense.

Not the right way. Women's track and rifle are dynamite. Good times.
