Mike Tomlin said the Stillers played “JV football” today.

Insulting to JV teams everywhere.

(Final: Cardinals 24, Stillers 10, at Acrimony Stadium)

Classic Tomlin. Everything in line to make the playoffs? Then lose to a 2-10 team. Given how incredible his record is, it’s wild how often his teams have lost to the bottom feeders over the years.

The Steelers under Tomlin, have always played down to their competition. Since many, many players have come and gone, it seems he's the common denominator of all these losses.

Pickett wasted pick.
They drafted poorly in choosing Najee and Pickett. Better players were available and needed. Tomlin's inability to build a credible offensive line has hampered this team for the last 5+ years and having Harris and Pickett behind a substandard line only compounds the problems on offense. The defense is good enough to win with despite its thin talent level at LB and DB.

I just say thank goodness they've pulled this same stunt so many times in the last decade. It should be shocking, but it's not, at all.

stillers were always going to have a fall after Big Ben
I made this point repeatedly to my in-laws who are all in Pittsburgh. Ben is a Hall of Famer. Moving on from his was always going to be hard. But they need to cut ties with Pickett ASAP. He's not the answer, but will keep them in "Tomlin Territory" in terms of middling record. And that will keep the Steelers from finding their next real QB.
