He had a great game scoring 29 points based on 3 point shooting and foul shots.He was injured for a short time in the second half but came back strong in the fourth quarter.

They set him up today where he got a chance to become a stationary jump shooter. The only miss I saw was a deep three from the top of the key where he had to take a dribble and was going right to left, which is as difficult a shot to take as a right-handed shooter.

In B1G play entering the game, Williams was under 30% from 3 at 29%, which isn't where we expected him to be.....after today's 6-8 from 3, he finishes a little more reasonable 33% from 3, which is where he should be going forward with hopefully Sanders and Nigel as a tandem next year....the better the guards are to drive and kick, he is asked to do less and just spot up and shoot.

I mentioned at start of game when I saw Minn come out with zone, that it was perfect setup for Williams, and to work it. Around to get him free. When they switched to man it freed things up for Sanders, but Williams also adjusted with nice driving to the basket

Add a couple of bigs and we may be OK

I'm a big Mike Williams fan. I wish we had a few more like him. I'm really happy for him. If he sticks with it and continues to improve, he'll be great as a senior in 2 years.

Really glad for Mike Williams. I love his effort and heart. If he could continue to hit 3's like he did tonight he will be very special next year.
