The last two weeks we have completed 80% of our passes. Also last week was the first time in three weeks Mills has played and he got 16 carries.

And given that Mills has been injured, 16 carries was more than enough work for him.

Mills isn't an RB who makes it look pretty but he gets positive yards. I have to imagine he'll be back next year, I think he needs a showcase year if he wants to take a crack at the NFL.

I will cling like grim death to the belief that it we were hurting teams for 5+ ypc on inside run game the passing game would look worlds better.

I still don't understand why we don't have more outside run game to stress the edges. Feels like 1 or 2 jet or shovel type plays per game and that's sorta it as far as attacking the edge by handing off to guys with speed. Clearly Purdue saw the jet to Betts coming this time around.

We get like 4 TEs or guys who look like TEs on the field at a time, these dudes can't block CBs?

I do feel like we are starting to do this more. Needs to open way up, but starting to get other people involved. Just need to do it all moving forward

Not sure how you can say the RBs are "underestimated." No one has had the opportunity to play any consistent number of snaps. One could argue that the small sample size isn't telling us much as well. We see flashes at times but that is about it.

While I agree there is talent there, I haven't seen enough to crown anyone the next stud RB at Nebraska.

I tend to agree and it is very rare for a running back to emerge late in their career that didn't at least flash as a freshman. Most of our good ones have played as true freshman. That being said, I still hold out hope that our current freshman (two redshirt and two true freshman) deviate from this trend, as they all seem to have the physical traits you would want at RB.

I'm with you, but I don't like Mills much outside the tackles. Obviously he killed it against Wisconsin last year on some outside plays, but for the most part he struggles going to the sidelines.
Maybe our TE's are too tall for leverage, but regardless their blocking outside of Stoll has been disappointing.

I plead ignorance, I did'nt watch the iowa game and forgot about the purdue game..(busy working outside)
but it seemed how that went to for the games before them.
