By spending a little time here this last week, it appears a number of HUSKER FAN’s Misery Levels has slid down to DEFCOM 3.

I watched a clip with Cigs...he said they get to the office around 7:30 and they don't stay all day. He said Monday and Friday are walk-through practices and the other 3 days they practice 1 hour and 35 minutes. My conclusion is that Rhule is just kind of guessing at this. He’s trying some things that he hopes will work. He’s doing his best to convince us that he has a solid plan. But I don’t get the impression that he has a fail safe system that absolutely insures success and a high standard of excellence.
Curt Cignetti ruined Husker football for me. All of our excuses are bullshid. Heck, even PJ and they’re sad little rodent program are our daddy
Yeah, sitting around on leather couches sipping coffee is not exactly clocking real hours. That kind of buffoonery would sicken a man like Cigs.I watched a clip with Cigs...he said they get to the office around 7:30 and they don't stay all day. Of course all the other coaches tell us how they work four billion hours a week and how hard everything is.
Ala John Gagliardi of St. John's Minnesota back in the day. No BS time at practice.I watched a clip with Cigs...he said they get to the office around 7:30 and they don't stay all day. He said Monday and Friday are walk-through practices and the other 3 days they practice 1 hour and 35 minutes.

I have had some many "talkers" on staffs before. Like, we really don't need to take a knee for 10 minutes to hear about when YOU played.Ala John Gagliardi of St. John's Minnesota back in the day. No BS time at practice.
We screwed until we fire Rhule in 2 years. Whats that? Defcon 1? I'm there.By spending a little time here this last week, it appears a number of HUSKER FAN’s Misery Levels has slid down to DEFCOM 3.

Mario C in Miami is doing it also.My conclusion is that Rhule is just kind of guessing at this. He’s trying some things that he hopes will work. If the AD and school administration doesn’t care why should I?Apathy
It's starting to catch on.If the AD and school administration doesn’t care why should I?
The Cignetti part is brilliant. Indiana has no fans, no national media, no national fan base and so when they win, everybody is not only miserable but also wondering why their team can't do it. One thing to keep in mind. The biggest coaches in football all use the same agents, these agents basically force big programs to consider and sign their clients or else their long list of coach clients may never consider their school again. Something like this happened with Penn State. The treatment of Franklin basically blacklisted Penn State from getting a decent coach, and they had to fall down to maybe their 5th option at the least. None of the big name coaches wanted to go to Indiana, they could work freely and hire whomever they wanted without the worry of pissing off these coach/agent cartels. Being so terrible meant Indiana could get someone out of network. Cig is still out of network and nobody is going to be able to repeat his success because the same coaches, with the same greedy slimebag mentality keep cycling through the same schools. My conclusion is that Rhule is just kind of guessing at this. Cignetti is an outlier. Go back 50 years and tell me how many have done what they have done? He's a great coach. He got almost his entire staff to follow him-- that's huge. Most of the time, coaches move up and they lose a bunch of staff that gets promoted at the school he left. And he brought along 13 players and found two great QB transfers. It's a perfect storm. My conclusion is that Rhule is just kind of guessing at this. He’s trying some things that he hopes will work. He’s doing his best to convince us that he has a solid plan. Everybody idealizes how hard they played. How tough it was. It's a major time waster.I have had some many "talkers" on staffs before. Like, we really don't need to take a knee for 10 minutes to hear about when YOU played.
Don’t reply to my posts. I don’t want you replying to my posts. Got it?Mario C in Miami is doing it also.
We are the bottom feeders of the BIG 10.
I’m sure Cig never looks at video or game plans at home. There’s little need to be in your office outside of normal hours anymore. Endless staff meetings accomplish nothing.I watched a clip with Cigs...he said they get to the office around 7:30 and they don't stay all day. He said Monday and Friday are walk-through practices and the other 3 days they practice 1 hour and 35 minutes.

Good points made. At Nebraska, we can lose nine of 10 to Iowa and lose six in a row to Minnesota and yet we don't even talk about them as rivals. We look right past them and point to our success from 30 ******* years ago. And that mentality is not just among the fans-- it's pervaded the entire program. We go from the bike rider from Oregon State, to touch football and "fast Fridays" and now on to whatever the hell Rhule is doing. They've been trying to make Nebraska into a finesse Pac 12 team, but still give lip service to the old Nebraska way.None of the big name coaches wanted to go to Indiana, they could work freely and hire whomever they wanted without the worry of pissing off these coach/agent cartels. Being so terrible meant Indiana could get someone out of network.
You’re wrong about their fans. They’ve risen up when they’ve won. What’s amazing about our fanbase is how we’ve stuck it out.The Cignetti part is brilliant. I would argue that Rhule was viewed as a good fit.Good points made. At Nebraska, we can lose nine of 10 to Iowa and lose six in a row to Minnesota and yet we don't even talk about them as rivals. At no point, did NU leadership actually consider a good fit for NU who was also willing to come here.
I am so scared. Lol. You dont like truth? You want to continue to live in the dark?Don’t reply to my posts. I don’t want you replying to my posts. Got it?

You’re an idiot and I don’t like to be associated with idiots. You add nothing worthwhile to this board.I am so scared. Lol. You dont like truth? You want to continue to live in the dark?
Thanks. Thought the same of you. Lol. Block me if you don't like reality. You’re an idiot and I don’t like to be associated with idiots. You add nothing worthwhile to this board.
At the time, yes. Same with Frost. But based on what criteria? Frost wanted to bring his UCF system with him. Remember the Duck R? And Rhule, I don't think he really had a preference. Just look at Michigan's hire. That guy they got is a perfect fit for what Michigan should be.I would argue that Rhule was viewed as a good fit.
Interesting. I swear I heard him on an interview say since coming to Indiana, he’s never seen the sun driving to and from work.I watched a clip with Cigs...he said they get to the office around 7:30 and they don't stay all day. He said Monday and Friday are walk-through practices and the other 3 days they practice 1 hour and 35 minutes.

I've read in the meetings with the entire team, he will run the same play back 20-30 times and point small things out. Like a missed double-team by the RG/RT which resulted in a bad play. Then he will run that same play back with the LG/LT on a great double-team block that makes for a long run. It's not about making players look bad, its about accountability.Interesting. I swear I heard him on an interview say since coming to Indiana, he’s never seen the sun driving to and from work.
Regardless, if this is correct – it says a lot about how he conducts practices. TO was legendary for getting maximization from every player on the practice field. My guess is Cig does the same.
Heard all this stuff about Hoiberg too.this is a point worth visiting. I’ve said it before, but Nebraska doesn’t have any advantages over other schools. Not a special location, small population base, no advantages in technology or methodology. So we rely on the past and pretty good commitment to support in the stands and in the facilities. But administration is not truly committed to winning. They have a herd mentality. It would take a maverick A.D. and president with some real balls to think outside the lines and forge a unique path like we did in the past.
There is a little evidence or hope that Matt Rhule can win anything significant here. It’s discouraging.
My conclusion is that Rhule is just kind of guessing at this. He’s trying some things that he hopes will work. He’s doing his best to convince us that he has a solid plan. Then those people are idiots. Par for the course with decision makers.I would argue that Rhule was viewed as a good fit.
I am sure that like most people he does "some" work at home.I’m sure Cig never looks at video or game plans at home. There’s little need to be in your office outside of normal hours anymore. Endless staff meetings accomplish nothing.
I gave up hope after Rhule sent his team out and didnt shake hands with Iowa just to get their asses kicked. He is a joke of a leader and a terrible football coach.By spending a little time here this last week, it appears a number of HUSKER FAN’s Misery Levels has slid down to DEFCOM 3.
