Appeasing my wife by watching dumb stuff like Miss Universe finally paid off. Steve Harvey hosting it announced Colombia as the winner, then had to get back on the mic as she is parading around in her big crown and announce that he screwed up and that Philippines was actually the winner. He is attempting to teach you something that will benefit you in the future. Instead of calling him an ***, perhaps you should thank him. "Your" denotes possession, "you're" is a contraction and the shortened version of "you are", as in "you are welcome".

Completely agree. The only thing good about pageants is it gives us moments like this and Miss South Carolina from a few years back. Plus there is always the potential face plant.

whole damn thing one big PR stunt. Host (don't even know his name) is clearly unaffected by his "error." Miss Columbia barely surprised. Camera perfectly prepared to zoom in on Miss Philippines just as soon as the host says he has to an apology to make when under any and all circumstances she would have been a forgotten part of the production at that point. Networks will be fighting rigorously over rights to carry the next several Miss whatever competitions as a result. Commercial slots will cost the sponsors more. Perhaps much more. Well played.
