Thread got derailed by an out over his skis MC poster. Got lively for a few minutes, but had flush written all over it.
Do you still have the spreads by chance? I’m sure the 10 participants can resolve this matter and we can determine the first inaugural CCL/ESCC pick’em champ.
If I knew halfway houses had the internet, I would have saved the picks before the thread was flushed. I didn’t. That’s on me.
Week nine thread gets flushed, all week nine pickers get disqualified, @stonedlizard didn’t pick week nine, @stonedlizard is automatic

To understand Catholic football you first have to understand that the bad blood starts in grammar school.
Because I’m a loser, I checked my picks Saturday morning along with @ESCC fan @pjjp and @caravan8 picks. PJJP dominated (possibly zero wrong), escc fan had one of his worst weeks (sorry efan, you had a great 8 week run tho, my respect), car8 had a one game lead on me (in just our own heavily watched personal week 9 contest).
So @3OrangeWhips @ignazio , I propose PJJP as the regular season winner which gets him 800 life karma points and the respect of private fans world wide. Congratulations
I also want to be ruled the victor vs car8 due to car8 having to forfeit the match because it was a Caravan fan’s unresolved 30 year issues that led to the thread getting flushed.
I also propose to the board to start everyone at a clean slate and continue this great contest for the state and prep bowl playoffs. Thanks fam

As we learned when we were kids, you’re a team and when one teammate does something stupid, the whole team suffers the consequences. Therefore I will accept RockSoups ruling that he be declared the winner in our highly followed season long race between rivals. Congratulations sir!
However I think the ESCC fans had a few game lead on the field in the overall race, pjjp may have caught them but we should be certain of the overall results because we wouldn’t want the integrity of this wonderful tournament questioned.

Thanks Rock. It was an honor to merely compete with my new CCL and old ESCC brethren. This weekend was the best and worst of times for my prognostication abilities: (10-0 on Friday / 0-2 on Saturday). What in the wide, wide world of sports happened to the Ramblers on Saturday? Did they take their foot off the gas? Was it a secret, handshake deal to allow the Redhawks to get to five wins? I was confident in giving the 21. And they lose outright?
Pro tip: always play the money line vs LA in week 9. Coach Holecek is a great person that begins November preparation the day after week 8. And Marist went out and took it also.
I lot of people were very critical about how the CCL and ESCC merged for football. The downside of having only four team conferences was the conference winner did not automatically earn a playoff berth. To make the playoffs you had to earn it with at least 5 wins and earn enough playoff points to make the cut.
Well all 4 of the teams in the Blue, Green, and White conferences qualified for the post season. And 3 teams Orange from and 1 from the Red. 16 teams made it to post season! I think the guys that hammered this out knew what they were doing. And it gets fine tuned every two years.

It was really cool to be able to play some CCL schools like Rita, Provi, Montini. Mix up the schedule a little bit. Looking forward to future years (assuming it lasts beyond next year) and possible matchups vs LA, Mount Carmel, DLS. Fun stuff. Glad the merger happened!
