I am in the O.R.'s frequently down here in south Florida at the Cleveland Clinic Hospitals. They provide very good care and have good surgeons and staff. Praying for her and your family.

My most sincere hopes for your granddaughter's continued fight. At 26 she's so much tougher than any of us here.

It's so hard to think and talk about for me. My daughter had Marfan's Syndrome, and passed away from complications of it two years ago, a month shy of her 30th birthday. She was not only strong, but the kindest and sweetest person. It was my privilege to be part of her life.

My first thoughts are with your granddaughter, you and your family. She has dealt with more than one person should ever endure, and I wish her the absolute best in this new organ replacement surgery.

My second thoughts are with the whiners in our society who are constantly complaining about virtually nothing. I wish they could read your post and learn about a 26 year old women and family --- who have every right to complain, but instead only ask for support and even take the time to remind us to not take our many blessings for granted. I am not a deeply religious individual, but I promise that this courageous woman will be in my prayers tonight.
