UK-Lexington scheduled APSU because of the huge traveling fan base the Governors are known to bring on the road. Austin Peay will literally bring a Bakers Dozen of fans.

I'm a Card and EKU fan, my boys in maroon are having the worst season in school history and just hung 67 on Peay this weekend. Eastern had them beat last year till our former coach got tight and lost the game in OT, so they now play the worst team in the OVC.

That might be the fun part. After hanging 80 points on the Governors this week the "bowl eligible" Mildcats will be strutting coming into PJCS only to face a hateful buzz saw with 9 days rest.
In football I always look at UK as how can they help us? Not from the viewpoint of I want them to be horrendous, never win etc.
The best thing that can happen up the street is that they become competitive. Year in, year out going to mid December bowl game. The bottom line is they will never compete for titles in the SEC as the athletics program caters to basketball, football will always be on the back burner so their fans won't enjoy the same path as us.
Since they are an annual rival, which as we see this year matters for SOS. We need them to improve. Start this year with a 6 win season and a low end bowl.
