A grant was given and Mtn heritage also are in the process of getting turf right know.
Turf grows on you. I used to hate the turf at McDowell but it's pretty convenient and easier to manage
I love turf but I think that playing on grass for teams in the future will be an advantage when you go into the playoffs and host games vs teams that are used to having traction then all of a sudden they dont
I loved playing on Hendersonvilles field back when grant Rivers and Shawn rogers was around. That October grass was my favorite!!
I went out to look at the new field when they were putting the letters down on the Mountaineer end zone. 5 men doing some tedious time consuming work the letters, numbers, hash marks the football helmet. But yeah it looks great especially from the aerial view, hopefully the new scoreboard will be in by the first game.

Agree with most on here mitchell is team to beat. Their season depends lot on if turbyfill can play at 100 percent. If he plays injured mitchell can be beat. It must be tough decision for him to play or surgery kid is a baller. Also the kid comes from very good family hope for the best for him.
