When he gets hurt and is out for the year, I will say I told you so.

Personally I think if he's ready let him play. If he gets hurt, he gets hurt. It is tackle football. The coaching staff seems to think he is ready. Putting him in without being ready is a different story.

This is a good time with the extra days to prepare and Minnesota is a very beatable team. If the Bears can run the ball they will win.

Also, if they do win and Trubisky has a good game, tomorrow's papers will be a QB love fest, the likes we haven't seen since Jim McMahon.

The guy obviously doesn’t have a fragile ego or he never would have survived riding the pine all those years at NC.

He obviously has better tools than MG but as has been cited often, his receivers are horrible. The reps will help him learn about game speed but it might not translate to wins in ‘17.

Watching Watson last night in Houston was ugly. He’s good but the look in his eyes late in the game was a discouragement he has yet to face in life. Trubitsky has experienced plenty.

I hope he doesn't get hurt, and that possibly in 5 years and a new GM and HC he can actually succeed.

And I am still wondering why Tribusky did not start the damn season? Just in the one drive alone, he was by far 100x better than Pinhead Glennon!

LOL! Same old Bear--holding to negate a drive and then the screen on third and long! Where is Pinky?!

CB,
I know this is about MT, and I don't mean to make this a you-know-what thread, but this is why this organization sucks! Penalty stalls one drive and then with a fourth and one and MT rearing to go, FOX pulls the rug from under him, and hence another drive stalls.

Why is Barth still on this putrid team? Can't even kick a fifty plus field goal because this pinhead sucks!

Oh, feel free. I think the front office like a couple others in Chicago needs to get the boot. I really have no urge to watch the NFL. Just got done with a heated discussion about the poor product so it seems im not missing a thing

It's MT's fault for the interception, but I wish they had a chance to win the game under two minutes, but a nitpicky call to save the Vikings' season prevails.

Poor read by MT, but Zach Miller is king of waiting for the ball to come to him

Whadya think? 3 - 13? They should beat the Browns and 49ers, but that's about it. Too bad, they won't be near the first pick with that record. Some bad teams out there.

Cutleresque

Hang with the opponent in a tight game and poooof!
Let's see how he bounces back

Trubisky looks more pleasing to the football eye, but at the end of the day he still had Glennonesque stats.
Offense sucks. Don't/can't establish run game. No WR threats. Too many penalties on the O line stalling out drives.
Trubisky has some skills and may one day become the QB of a nice offense, but that still seems very far away.

To me it seemed like once they got past the first 15 or plays they had scripted he started to struggle. A lot of the passing was short underneath patterns and Minnesota made adjustments and took it away as the game went on.

I would say overall it was a C+ performance, it wasnt great like many had hoped but he showed a few flashes against a good defense. I will be interested to see what he looks like after 4 starts, he doesn't need to be all pro but just keep improving.

I think you can see signs that this kid has the skills to play in this league.

His ability to move in the pocket and the boot action stuff will only get better.

The Pick was a bad throw. If he lofts it a little more Miller might still be running.

His mobility is impressive and behind this O line he needs it.

It’s hard to gauge how good this kid is with the absolutely abismal receiver group. Now some will come to this argument and say a goodbye QB makes any receiver better. If that’s your narrative I ask you watch some all-22 tape. I was in the South end zone and what I saw was epically bad.

Route discipline is brutal, can’t get off a jam, don’t set edge for the running game and can’t catch in traffic.

Other than that Bellamy, Wright, Wheaton and McBride are ugh oh boy they suck.

Team will remain a mediocre at best , family run business until that family sells them. I am all for history and tradition, but with this franchise it is starting to interfere with growth and success.

There is plenty of history and Tradition in Green Bay. More than in Chicago. Doesn't seem to stop them.

QBR=76.9 for Glennon and 60.1 for Trubisky. Trubisky had 2 turnovers and should have been picked off fora 3rd howis that much better?

Did I type "in the one drive alone?" So, I will put you down as believing Glennon should have started the game against the Viking. MT is a rookie who, I said before, will be making these mistakes. If you watched that game Monday night and decided that Glennon would've been a better QB than MT in that game, then I think you need to get an eye exam.

Do you honestly think the Bears would've won the game with Glennon in there? Do you honestly think the Bear would've been in the game at all with a Glennon start? If MT had two turnovers, Glennon would've had even more turnovers in that game.

I don't think the Bears would have won with Glennon in the game. The difference between Glennon and Trubisky is the sample size. You can't judge a guy on one game, especially his first game. But you can judge a guy over the course of a few seasons. Glennon was benched in Tampa and with good reason. He wasn't producing and Winston was better and still is. Glennon was benched here for the same reason. End of story.

The Bears are hindering MT's progressing by running the ball on every down. And when it's 3rd down, we all know their passing. This is a Mike Glennon game plan and it's sickening. But, hey, they are winning the battle right now; let's see if they win the war.

After scoring for a 17 - 3 lead, the Bears are back to themselves with 3 horrible plays in a row. LOL! But, the punt was awesome!

MC let Alex Thomas have a bigger playbook his first game back from USA baseball then the Bears are letting Mitch Trubisky play with.

+10. I know MT just fumbled, but it was an obvious pass play, so everyone knew what was coming. Loggins should've passed on second down on that last possession.

BTW, the Ravens are just puke! And they very well may pull this game out.

MT is startng to apease the fan base. If he was ready to play they would have thrown a five yard pass to try to get a first down. He can not find a secondary receiver in the pocket. If he can only pass on the rollout his career will be a short one.

Really impressed with Trubiski's athleticism. Kid can run and pick up 1st downs with his legs. Give it a few more weeks. Bears will open up the play book a bit more.
