Iranian wrestler killed security guard during protest. Ok....but.........US President Donald Trump also appealed to Iran, saying the wrestler's "sole act was an anti-government demonstration on the streets".



I know, I know.........I'm an Iranian terrorist supporter now...........[eyeroll]

Reports published abroad say Afkari was condemned on the basis of confessions extracted under torture.

So we (and Trump) knows he was innocent? I'm not trying to be an a$$, just asking why our POTUS would throw that support out there.

Getting a confession using torture? Evidently, there was no evidence or witnesses, wouldn't you agree? You come out bashing Trump, yet you know nothing about it, except for what the terrorist dictator of a totalitarian government told you. Why would you do that?

Bashing Trump? I said I'm confused by his message. We are having situations with police here, and he comes out in support of a man who was convicted (may have been unfairly, nobody knows) of killing a police/security guard during a protest. That's not bashing, that's just asking why send that message out there?

They executed him because he was a high-profile Iranian citizen, who protested his terror-prone, totalitarian government who oppresses and controls its people. He was made an example of. Pretty easy to see. If you have to torture a confession out of someone, it means they had nothing on him. Trump, along with several leaders of other countries, tried to convince Iran not to execute him. There is no mixed message. They're terrorists with absolute control over Iran's citizens. They don't want to lose that power.
