How can they not be in the top 25 AND the tournament brackets at this point???
I know the SEC has about 50 teams in the top 25, but how can Mizz be left out ?
They are 9-1, beating the **** out of basically everybody they play, they beat Kansas, and only loss was first game of the season against what has proven to be a pretty good Memphis team.

I think it's because overall their schedule has been pathetic so far. Kansas was a great win no doubt but otherwise, kinda weak.

I agree with the other poster perhaps ranked tomorrow.

I’ve found over the years that SOS means nothing much. Team A can beat a bunch of nobody’s and team B can beat a bunch of nobody’s and one or the other will have a considerable edge in SOS. It’s all relative to who beat who, common opponents, and about 100 other meaningless metrics. W or L is what I’ve found means something.

SOS will actually work to the SEC teams disadvantage this season. Everybody will have probably at least 4-5 losses with some good teams having 6-7 or even more. Meanwhile, the committee will put teams like Duke and Iowa State on the #1 line.

They played a poor schedule and didn't beat some of those teams by nearly as much as you would expect a top team to do.

That's the reason.

That being said, they will prob be ranked Monday.

Yeah, pretty much going to have to disagree with you completely on this one. Win/loss matters, but win/loss adjusted for SOS is much more informative.

Screw Mizzou. Let's kick them out of the conference. On the flip side, who has Tenn beaten to be ranked #1? There will be some gifts coming for gamblers,
