Show, don't tell. What ESPN content is "equating this to Rosa Parks and the fight for equality?"

Are you kidding me???? Have you not listened to Around the Horn, His and Hers, Mike and Mike, First Take etc. They are holding the Mizzou players as civil rights/social justice hero's on the order of the folks who faced down fire hoses, dogs, batons etc. We, as a society today are wimps that don't know what true hardship, discrimination and racism even means. No critical thinking by so called "reporters" at ESPN. Just out and out praise and throwing rose petals at the feet of Finkel and his lemmings called a football team who have know ability to think beyond the pigmentation of their skin color. We've got to be better than this!

Jonathan Butler's dad is an Executive VP of Union Pacific. He's worth $20 million.

Hahaha. Pathetic.

Ironically, Union Pacific is significantly worse for young people at Mizzou than three alleged racial events. The UP has a significant monopoly on all rail moves in the Western half of the United States, and therefore you're paying more for everything you purchase. They spend a ton on Washington lobbying as well.

anybody who watches "His and Hers" deserves whatever strife the show's commentary produces.

You're right. I heard the male participant who's name escapes me run his sewer incessantly over the righteousness of the cause. Dude is totally clueless not to mention a no talent hack! Same with Bomani Jones who is equally stupid and totally self unaware.

Don't think anyone was pissed, that was just a blurb from deadspin or barstool. Kinda funny considering BYU is the opponent. The university took it down. 08 wasted a perfectly good rant.
No worries, that's one of the few things I have an unlimited supply of...

BTW, that rant wasn't necessarily aimed at you. It was more a general rant about people who just look for reasons to be offended and come up with stupid-*** **** like this... which is exactly why Mizzou took it down, because given the opportunity, someone would've been "offended" by it.

I am honestly starting to believe none of this even happened. There's not a single photo of any of this stuff. Watch this turn out just like Tawana Brawley, Duke lacrosse, the "racial slur" on a receipt at a Red Lobster restaurant that the black waitress wrote in, the Boston Civil War memorial for black soldiers being vandalized by a BLM activist to make it look like a white person did it, the black guy in Colorado posting racial threats on a black church door, etc.

There's a ridiculous amount of examples of total BS lies to play the victim.

Now we're supposed to believe that a white man on foot walked up to a GROUP OF BLACK MALES and used a racial slur and there was no fight? No cell phone footage?

Where's the picture of the poop swastika?

They're trying to act like the KKK was on campus and threatened them now. The student body president tweeted it and then deleted it.Now he's apologizing for the misinformation but the SJWs ate it up.

Can't wait to watch this unfold.

What a fraud this Butler dude is, along with this whole situtation. Shame on the Pres for being a coward & quitting, did he really think a silver spoon spoiled brat would starve himself to death?

and WTF is a 25 year old man (not a kid) still doing at college anyway? not to mention a rich ***** like him going to a generic state college, sheesh. I graduated before I turned 22, had a full time job, had a mortgage by 23.

Itll never happen, but the real outrage here should be by minorities. Not against the president of Mizzou. But against the frauds claiming racism that probably never occurred and staging a hunger strike that I doubt really occurred.

Why?

Because when a TRUE social injustice/racism comes along, people will have less sympathy and look at it skeptically because of foolish events like this.

http://www.nationalreview.com/yale-free-speech-protest-ironic

"There is a certain strain of upper-middle-class American culture that cultivates an excess of self-importance that grows cancerous when it isn’t counteracted by a deep understanding that the world is full of things that are much more important than you are: God, country, the rest of the human race. That American striver culture has many invaluable aspects — it is the culture that produces the high-achieving students who go to Yale and other elite institutions — but in the absence of transcendent values it turns everybody into a miniature Donald Trump. If your concerns in life are limited to personal economic advancement and status whoring, then everything — literally — is about you. That’s when you see things like Lena Dunham’s dopey political advertisements, which reduce citizenship to another shallow channel of self-satisfaction: Never mind patriotism, never mind history, never mind anything else — what does your vote say about you? How do it make you feel?

Uhm, no.

The real question is, why did YOU watch those stupid shows?

Don't watch them per se. ESPN radio has most of these shows and I hear snipets of opinions from their various cast of idiots. I SELDOM watch any of this junk and need to do the same with what I listen to on the radio.

The MSA president could have been excused for even saying that the KKK was confirmed on campus. What he can't be excused for is saying that he is working with the National Guard. There is absolutely no way that was true, and it makes me think his initial statement about being called the n-word was a complete lie. Are there no adults on that campus who can shut this down?

I'm thinking more along the lines of the school kicking him out. You can't make false claims intended to scare people.

Well, you shouldn't, but society operates that way, and it's becoming PC to do so. That is alarming.

Unfortunately there is no one at the school that has the cojones to do that although it would be well deserved.

Good. Now get the Greek Life lady out, get Head to step down and get some actual adults in there to run the show. Missouri is an absolute joke right now. I would be ashamed to go there.

Just like Ferguson, this will turn out to be another demonstration built on a lie.

But for once, JUST ONCE, I'd like to see the black community demand the mayors/elected officials step down and protests blacks killing each other like crazy in St. Louis, Chicago and Detroit. For once, I'd like to see them raise their voices when blacks kill/assault whites, which statistically happens way more often.

And I want to raise a perfect example of the bias in racial reporting. Did you hear about the 6-year old white autistic boy who was shot in the head five times by two cops in Louisiana? Did you know those cops weren't white? You'd never know it reading the stories on CNN unless you look for the mugshots. Race is NEVER MENTIONED.

Lately, people are just dying to protest over something, start a revolution over next to nothing.

What's going to happen when we have an actual crisis?

Ha! You're right. I didn't even know it until I read your post! They only had interviews with white (higher-ups?) officers in the reports I saw on TV... giving the usual impression of the policemen in question. I just saw that the kid was White and figured the story would die down soon, as usual.

So true. Basically the rule is if the RACE ISN'T MENTIONED about the "villains" in the story--- then you know they're non-white.

Do y'all want to take all this negative e-energy we have here and put it toward a good cause? Say, like McDonalds bringing back 2for$1 apple pies and actually making them ***** again and keeping them stocked? Or maybe we can get Surge back on shelves for good? Something. Idk. Let's be great and do change, or whatever.

What if the imaginary swastika poop smearer ran into the pretend KKK invaders inside the Mizzou protest safe space?

(mind blown)

I like that they're "afraid" because of these racist whites. I'd probably be afraid too if I lived two hours from St. Louis, the nation's murder capital and it isn't whites responsible for that stat.

Mizzou set the precedent. Now we have another college with black students demanding the head of a president. Way to go, guys.

They're mad at Ithaca because a student said she had a "savage hunger" and an alumni on the panel where this was said referred to the girl as a savage. The president said that he cannot guarantee that there won't be people coming to the campus that could possibly offend them. So they want the president fired.

they had a topic of discussion on one of the hen clucking shows (plus Lance Bass) about a shirt in Target that says "OCD: Obessive Christmas Disorder" and whether it was offensive or not towards people with the mental illness [roll]

I mean GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY. I may move to Ireland where people are still free to crack jokes and be as offensive as they want without worrying about getting someone's panties in a twist.

Agreed. The OCD " controversy" is ridiculous. As for the mess in Mizzou, it should no longer come as a surprise to anyone that those people are the first to piss and moan about perceived "injustice" and, likewise, are the first to deny equal rights to anyone who happens to disagree with them.
