Wish him the best. Not much playing time for him at the 1 next season between pg starter portal guy, Lewis and perry and even JJ if needed.

I think the jump for Chandler to his sophomore season in Pope's system will be lightning-like. He's very athletic, good passer, can spell duties at PG. And I see nasty putback dunks from him.
Hopefully his fiancé will like Lexington more than Richie Saunders wife . But if you are a devote Mormon ……..Utah is the place to be .

Everyone should explore the NBA $$$
Everyone should explore the transfer portal $$$
Where does it end? Everyone should explore the $$$ in high school? We don't need cheerleading for this kind of thing.
Yeah I'm not one to ***** about people earning money but getting paid to score 8 points with 3 turnovers and 2 rebounds isn't what I'd consider worth it. NIL can suk it as far as I'm concerned.

I honestly don’t care if Kerr is back next year, he’s just an experienced replacement level guard.

It has been a loss for this years team to have him out. But in the long run it’ll be valuable for Perry to become a contributor in the future.

College basketball is just 1 year free agency contracts. Last offseason Kerr(and Garrison for that matter) made sense for their contracts/roles. For next season they won’t. So they’ll move on but really it’ll be us moving on from them.

Know the staff has to be concerned with the Portal/etc...but honestly I am more interested when Butler/Robinson return and then this year's team can at least compete to be a damn good team. That's the focus I'm more concerned about and if Kriisa wants out--good from my perspective. He's vastly overrated because he wears a head band and yells/waves his arms. Missed on this year's team? Sure. Be better than Kerr--that's Pope's challenge next year. This league is too much for the slow footed guards--you can't have too many or you will be killed.

Kerr is what you get when you mix Richie Farmer and Freddy Mercury, and then throw in a couple of Red Bulls.

Thoughts?
He said that another time recently on the morning show, and that he’s heard St Johns is a team to watch for him. I find that odd as he wouldn’t seem to fit the defensive blueprint Pitino has going there but maybe RP is looking for some offense off the bench.

I'll have to wait to see who enters the Portal. There will be plenty he and UK will go after. Will be more interested to see who returns to see how many spots need to be filled. They have to get quicker/more athletic in the backcourt. You can talk of playing a system/style of play but when most teams incorporate athletic/fast guards, you better have guys who can stop them. Everyone thinks offensively and ignores the ability to defend the ball. You can't be a good defensive team if you can't stop the ball or stay in front of people. Breaks everything down.

Gotta love the Freddy Mercury reference. That one had me laughing. Sucked to watch a short handed team (again) tonight but didn't expect a win against Bama on the road so at least we can have a laugh and some fun. Appreciate it as it was needed.

For sure! I’m just glad that there is now tape of what Pope can do at UK. Will be nice to have that going into the portal season

These days, if you aren't already assuming there's a chance everybody might go somewhere else, well then you've been living under a rock.

Even Perry, Noah or Chandler might be recruited away from us.

The bigger question to me is this: why would Jones float that rumor out there when we have the NCAA tournament on the horizon?

Just seems like an unnecessary distraction from a guy who should know better.

Maybe the second-rate KSR Bar and Grille is still not bringing in the revenue he needs, so he has take to stirring the pot to generate web traffic?

Matt actually went even further and suggested that Kerr would end up at St. Johns next season playing for Pitino if he redshirted instead of trying to come back for the Tournamen

I totally agree this is the question. Not whether kids should leave for their betterment but why is this popular (not necessarily globally liked) media personality introducing a potentially divisive notion.

Why are the players talking about stuff like this at this point? Their focus should be on what they need to win the game at hand, and games going forward. The media wouldn't be talking about it if the players weren't.

I mean he would be a nice rotation/depth piece but it’s not that big of a deal either way.

I would rather have a 2nd year Perry than Kerr. I love his energy, but he is very limited on the floor. Perry just needed experience and pace to become the backup next year. He Lewis and Jasper will be a very nice rotation. Not saying we couldn’t use a portal PG/combo guard.

The future looks bright. We just have to find a way to stay healthy.

In everyone's defense, Kerr wasn't supposed to come back. Use up his eligibility this season. He was the backup point guard and a bridge till recruits and freshmen and another transfer could play next sEason. Now he's got another year, and that wasn't Pope or Kerr plans. Go get some money. Get some clout as a college contributor so you can make more playing in Estonia or Israel or whatever foreign league.

Kerr better learn to play defense if this is true. I can't see Pitino playing him if he isn't going to play defense.
