small market teams are dead. Only big market teams have fans in stands. Small market teams are hopeless under the current MLB regime.
Used to be affordable for a family of 4 to go. Now you play rock-paper- scissors to see which 2 get left behind.Keep raising ticket prices and don't raise salaries and this is what happens. I've averaged a 0.95 yearly raise since 2007. Lol. Compare that to inflation. They have priced themselves out..
Do large market teams even sell out much? I quit following baseball after Bonds, I think.small market teams are dead. Only big market teams have fans in stands. Small market teams are hopeless under the current MLB regime.

Kids still drinking Busch beer?? Good to see. Ahh, the good ol days.Yea in all seriousness it’s a problem. The cardinals have done a great job of offering great promotional, fantastic food, of course local Anheuser Busch beer that people flock to ect. Went to about 5 games last year and paid 22 bucks for 4 good seats and ate free hotdogs all game.
Gotta figure it out. Some of these teams are just really poorly run.
Large markets do well, but most of them field a good team as well.Do large market teams even sell out much? I quit following baseball after Bonds, I think.
I think I see you…do you have a red shirt on??I’m in right field in that picture above the bullpen Temperature that day was brutal. Winds and in the low 40’s. Paid over 100 bucks for cardinals blankets at that game so my kids could see history
Some things are like they always are, excuses. Baseball cannot have attendance like football there’s too many games during the season and weekday 5:00 starts. But some of these teams bring it on themselves. It’s not a baseball problem it’s an ownership problem.
All sports go through ups and downs. The MLB regime is a mess I agree with you there, but teams that suck tend to use this as an argument so they self medicate. I see a lot of Braves fans do this most of the time.

Yeah its Oakland few days ago it said back 2 back record low crowd. Lowest since 1980 @ 2,765 people. If that is Oakland, they are moving to Vegas so no one there probably cares anymore.
I think I see you…do you have a red shirt on??
PS-Go Red birds
I believe that thread got deleted. No hard feelings man. I believe we are both on the Cal is **** train? They will have to give tickets away
Appreciate it. Does baseball still have the cap but you can go over it and just pay a tax?Large markets do well, but most of them field a good team as well.
Yet somehow they have a .500 record.Take a look at the Oakland A's roster and it is not hard to understand why no one would want to show up to see this team play.
That was one of the things they kept in the latest CBA.Appreciate it. Does baseball still have the cap but you can go over it and just pay a tax?

Damn dude , you should look elsewhere. KU has averaged 4 % in that time , and I’ve been disappointed in that .Keep raising ticket prices and don't raise salaries and this is what happens. I've averaged a 0.95 yearly raise since 2007. Lol. Compare that to inflation. They have priced themselves out..

Ballpark village has really changed the game around Busch. I think other teams need to consider expanding their idea of what “going to a baseball game” is.

No hard feelings. At the end of the day we are Cat fansI believe that thread got deleted. No hard feelings man. I believe we are both on the Cal is **** train?
Damn right. No hard feelings. At the end of the day we are Cat fans
I haven’t been to a Reds game in ages but would love to take my girl and our 14 year old. What are ticket prices? Parking? Etc? Ain’t nobody eating no $14 hot dog or $15 bottle of water so I’m good on concessions haha. Eat before the game. Just curious.Tickets are expensive.
Then when you have teams that have reasonable prices (Ie the Reds and Pirates) they aren't very good teams lol.
Man, I would love to go to a batting cage. I might **** around and go buy a bat but I couldn’t tell you where a cage is. They used to be all over 20 or 30 years ago? Right? And once again baseball brings people together like no other.

What are baseball TV numbers? Like generally, if you know. Preciate it.All that plus mid day games. It’s a completely different set up. Cardinal games will be well attended. Dodger games will be well attended. TV deals are part of the problem too. Add that to the fact that it’s just easy and comfortable to watch on your 75” tv from home and you get attendance problems.
Didn’t they have another lockout or whatever? Or threatened one right? That’s a big F U to the fans, IMO. I don’t think baseball really ever got over the lockout in the 90’s. Steroid era of home runs helped but meh since. I also say this admitting I’m completely ignorant of the subject, 25 years ago, for sure.Yea in all seriousness it’s a problem. Take it they aren’t doing too well, again? Lol. Sorry friend.Give us a reason to see the dead Reds in GABP. Tired of recurrent fire sales with a AAA team on the field. By the time you get attached to a player or a core group, the Reds go into tear down mode. When you have owners like the Castellini's and Phil who has no respect for the fans, they don't deserve a red cent of our money. Owners need to hurt in the wallet by fans not attending. Showing up means you condone the direction the ownership is going and gives them no incentive to change.
2-13 haven't held a lead since the owner's son basically told us all to kiss his *** on Opening Day. I've lost count how many innings it has been since they last held a lead at the end of it but it was in the 1st series in Atlanta. Let 2 All-Star game starters go, 1 in a trade and the other said he didn't get so much as a phone call to negotiate. There's no end in sight with this ownership.Take it they aren’t doing too well, again? Lol. Sorry friend.
