And we’d have to be clear too if we draft a fantasy football style roster whether it’s actually playing to win games or fantasy football. Philip Rivers had significantly better career stats than Johnny Unitas but who would you want in the super bowl?
I'm not very used to all that but I'm guessing that fantasy is stats based and "playing to win" is subjective player quality, kinda like the arguments agaist the old timers in the baseball draft?

My idea would be this:

1 Qb
2 RB’s
3 WR’s
1 TE

3 secondary players (Covers all starting receivers)
2 linebackers
2 lineman
1 kicker

15 rounds and we vote on the best unit of players. Could remove the kicker or extra receiver/ secondary player to make it a shorter draft. Or we could do straight fantasy mode. Thoughts?

I would prefer fantasy mode. I really didn't like the arguments against the old timers. I know it would take longer but my 2 cents would be full teams plus kicker and punter.

Current players or all time? My only problem with that is Offensive Lineman, like JR pointed out, but I can google I suppose lol

Yep. Fantasy football is just all about stats. Troy Aikman was exactly what Dallas needed in the 90’s to be a powerhouse team but he was a lousy fantasy football QB because he didn’t rack up crazy yardage & TD’s.
