There are a lot of changes taking place with the new agreement but the season will start April 7th which is the most important aspect.
If you like MLB you might want to take a look at what was agreed upon and decide if you like it or don't. here's just a small sample of some of the agreed upon changes:
• Significant increases to minimum salaries
• Significant increases to the payroll thresholds applicable under the Competitive Balance Tax, commonly called a luxury tax
• Amendments to the MLB draft order designed to deter tanking by teams that won't make playoffs
• Expanded postseason (12 teams)
• Enhanced revenue streams through jersey and helmet sponsorships
• Improved benefits for former players

Can't wait to see the Royals crop of prospects that all should hit the majors this year. Does the new agreement do anything to address service time manipulation? If not, that sucks.

Seems as though there are some provisions to discourage keeping top prospects down - I like it.

For those interested in the fine details of the agreement and some of the negotiating strategies etc - this is a great podcast
The host ran the Marlins for 18 years and really breaks down the business side of the sport and this CBA

How did you miss the DH in the National League 😀?

Glad it’s back. Not a huge fan of Jersey and helmet sponsorships, but that is a minor thing.

I also like the expanded playoff format. I had a love/hate relationship with that single game WC, but prefer that it be a series. Expanding to 12 will make more meaningful games in September.

I also like the draft lottery plan. The tanking was getting obscene.

Didn't miss it, just not a fan of the DH.

I was hoping for Something like a pitch clock all the way through the World Series. Pitchers Take way too much time to throw

This.

Also advertising on helmets? Did I see that? Not a fan.

I’m genuinely jealous of you all-season baseball nuts. Used to watch a lot more.
