Mock Draft has Robinson going 1st rd to Utah

I don't see that but if it happens good for him.
Not trying to tear Robinson down, but he's got work to do before he's a first round talent. He is an absolute fantastic shooter, but teams know he has big issues with his handle when pressured on the perimeter.
I’m not sure why. He wasn’t projected to be taken in last year’s draft …which was considered weaker than this year’s …and he’s not done much to raise his draft stock yet.

If he starts playing up to his capability then we will be really solid. We are gonna need him.
I would also add that he is weak going to the rim. But, he is a good defender.
He is also an older player. He will likely be 3-4 years older than the one and dones.

His first 2 years as a part-time player, he made 28.6% and 32.6% of his 3's. Not good.
Then in his 2 years at BYU as a full-time player, he improved to 34.3% & 35.4%. Solid/respectable/"ok" %'s.
And this year (only 8 games, so plenty of time to improve) he has regressed to 30.8%. Not good.
He is nowhere near a 1st round pick based on what he has displayed thus far.
Not trying to knock him, but he hasn't shot that well, doesn't draw fouls to get to the free throw line, doesn't handle the ball that well, doesn't rebound very well, defense is ok..........
So which of these traits make him a 1st round pick.
If Utah did draft him in the 1st round, that would explain why they haven't been contenders since Malone retired
I can see why Brea would be at 36, he’s a lights out shooter. Would be a good role player in the right system

Good college player but nothing about him so far says NBA. Oweh is our only player that has an NBA chance and his size will probably cross him out of that chance. We have several that will play professionally, just not in the NBA. Williams,,,,,maybe.
If Brea can improve his defense some he will get a shot. But he is not nearly the athlete most teams are looking for. He is older and he has had a significant injury. But damn the boy can shoot and that is popular in the NBA. I could see a team with a superior shot blocker like the Spurs taking him and using him situationally.

Watch a lot of college hoops and I don't see Robinson going in 1st round, maybe not getting drafted based on what I have saw so far this year- if he goes 1st round, good for him

KY may win the natty but they will not make the tournament if JRob is your best player. And he is not.
I know Cal sucks and what yall told me about him I am seeing some of. But Jackson Robinson is not the answer for anyone and never has been.

Don’t disagree with you. That is why Pope is recruiting one and done types for the futures.
He gets it, but Robinson is a good 2nd or 3rd on your team. He seems to be an introvert and that is how he plays too. He has some game, he just needs to take some cues from Oweh and amp that motor!
Like someone said he dont have the handles to take it in like Oweh does. But he was on the floor down the stretch against Clemson so he must be doing something right.

I do agree with smallmouth about Robinson being our best player. I think our two best players are Oweh and Butler.
Antonio Reeves was selected at 47 is a weaker draft and he is a better player than Robinson in every respect.
I don’t either. He’s decent, but not NBA-level, imho. I do not think he’s as good as Reeves.
To my view, Oweh and Butler are EASILY are two best players …
I dont see it. He is a volume shooter that's gonna get his attempts but isn't really great at anything.
