I don't look at these often because there are so many and they rarely match, but I checked one today and as I have said before, I've always been a Hawks fan **ugh**.
Anyway, the board I looked at showed the Hawks taking Bags and Allen! That would be sweet to see them both go there! Weird thing is Trent wasn't on the board at all. However, a different board shows him going to the Celtics....THAT would be cool to see him join Kyree and Tatum!!

I know it's a crap shoot right now because we don't know the draft order yet. And what of that one board was right and Trent didn't go? I don't see that happening, but MAN if it were correct and he came back....wow!!

I agree with you. There are some players listed that I can't believe are listed ahead of him. If he keeps going like the has the last several games, I think he moves up the board.

Yeah, I check them quite regularly, and I've also noticed Trent is gone. He was on all of them earlier in the season.

All 5 starters are gone. Trent isn't going to wait on a loaded 2019 draft with more than likely high school players being able to enter. And we know it's all about potential or upside. Question is with ej Montgomery likely headed to duke, does Bolden stay or go.

4. Zion/javin/j rob
5. Bolden/ej/vrank

Just don't see bolden back. He never shows excitement like the rest of team does on the court or bench.

He's always the last person to jump off the bench, I'd say half the time he doesn't even get up, meanwhile the whole team is screaming and jumping.

How about Duval? I don't see him going anywhere without a reliable shot or even free throws. Turnovers are too high and relatively sloppy at that. He has moments of potential, but not a reliable point man yet.

Frank Jackson came off draft boards mid season then reappeared on them.

If any one came back I would put it on Trent coming back but I don’t see it.

I'd say that's true.

No insider info, but as a fan I'd say the chances of our guys being back next year:

Bagley & Grayson - 0%
Wendell - 1%
Duval - 5%
Trent - 30%
Bolden - no idea.

I think Trent and Duval and even Wendell would all be well served to stay another year and develop. But they can develop in the G league or on an NBA roster just as well as they can at Duke. So I certainly can't blame any of them for leaving.

I might have Trent higher than 30% but for the talent we have coming in next year. If he could come back and be our #1 option, that would be one thing. But I don't think he comes back to once again be a third or fourth option.

I really hope Bolden comes back. I want him to succeed at Duke and then succeed in the NBA.

I think there's a better chance of Sky being Guru Gary's best man at his wedding with the transvestite than our 4 starting freshmen coming back to Duke for their sophomore season.

Yeah, agree w/ everyone else. Even if he’s out of the first round, he’s gone.

Bolden, IMO. Comes back or not that any one likes hearing this. Transfers and takes a year off to work on his skill set.

I’m one who thinks he comes back to Duke because it’s his chance to start at the five as a junior.

All 5 starters are gone..

Bagley is a top 4 pick
Carter is a lottery pick
Grayson, Duval, & Trent are all 2nd rounders with the potential to be late 1st rounders, depending on how they finish the season.

If Bolden is our starting 5 next year its going to be difficult to contain other teams bigs. My hope if thats the case is for him to finally blossom and become who we thought we were getting.

Every single mock draft I've seen has Duval first round and most have Grayson first round. It seems like a minority have Trent first round but at least a couple do.

Just cannot see Bolden transferring and sitting out a year

I agree. If I had to guess I'd say it's more likely that he plays pro outside of the NBA versus transferring and sitting out a year.

I think he has four options. Stay at Duke. Declare for the NBA draft and maybe he makes some team. Play pro outside of the NBA. Transfer and sit out a year. I think the transfer option is the least likely. But what do I know?

The issue with Bolden is that a lot of people forget that his ability to adapt on the college level was listed as one of his weaknesses.
Bolden came on late in high school and was probably they tallest kid on the team and teams he played against.
I don’t see Bolden going pro or overseas he just hasn’t shown enough to warrant it.
I think he comes back just because the players around him will warrant so much attention he’ll have his shot at really easy baskets.

The problem is a guy like Trent should come back next year but with a loaded recruiting class at sg and wing he is gone. He may have come back to school if he played for KU or UNC.

No one is scaring off Gary. If, and I mean if, he were to return, he’d be starting and playing 30 minutes/game. He’d also be one of, if not the best, players on the team.

That said, I can’t envision where he returns.

It’s not being scared off his scoring average won’t go up much next year with a team loaded at the SG and Wing.

It would be awesome if he came back and we rolled out a lineup of:

1. PG Jones
2. SG Trent
3. SF Barrett
4. SF Reddish
5. PF Williamson

The ultimate small ball line-up.

Again, post a link on some of these, that would be helpful.

Here's one that has Bagley going #2; Carter #8; Trent #16; Duval #24; and Grayson #25.

http://www.nbadraft.net/2018mock_draft

Personally, only two underclassmen are ready and worth it a 1st round pick: Bagley and Carter. Head and shoulders better than anyone else on Duke. They will both be great in the NBA imo. I think Carter will be an 18/12 type. Bagley a 23/8 type player. If Bagley hones his 3 point shot - look out.

I know that Trent and Duval will chase the $$. But, neither are true 1st round talents, imo. Trent is an inconsistent defender and he will sit the bench if he doesn't step up. Duval will struggle until he learns to shoot - if he does.

Grayson is a mystery. He has been a great shooter but man is he in a major funk. I just wonder if something else is going on behind the scenes - he hit a huge shot today but otherwise ...

I think that Bolden will be back. He should be the starting center next year with no other big men coming in and he's clearly the best big man on the team aside from Bagley and Carter.

After the game with MSU, I thought Grayson might shoot his way into a top 10-15 pick. Now I'm afraid he might shoot his way out of a second round pick.

There in lies a problem. K over recruits. If someone stays then someone gets to sit. The reason for so many transfers. K oversold Bolden, Bolden not panning out and thus keeps sliding down the bench. It's not just him. With possibly having a small lineup next year, who sets all the high ball moving screens?

I think Zion can fill that role at 270.
