out of all of the bad things that have happened this guy doesn't talk about scheme failures or calls (Farmer) He doesn't explain away failures. I'm not all in on our captains, but this guy plays with his pads. He gets it.

The roster turnover was needed and more needs too happen. Fans and players feelings will be hurt. I doubt if HCSF cares if you were an 84 or a 90 rated recruit on Rivals. I think the next few weeks could be interesting. Mohammed Barry is a stud. Tyrin Ferguson is playing well and is explosive. I would like Young replaced. I don't care by who. Somebody that could control their gap would make the whole defense look way better. JMO

Who is your favorite defensive player this year?

I think Barry by far has been the brightest spot on defense. But I also like how Bootle plays. Sure he has had some missed assignments and mistakes but he's a gamer he plays with toughness and intensity all game long no matter the score

I agree. I love Bootles toughness and aggressiveness. He plays bigger than he is. He reminds me of Dennard, but he is much faster.

Mohamed Barry is beast! I like DiCaprio Bootle as well.... I was hope see Ben Stille explosive this year but....?

Barry reminds me of Lavonte David, Bootle like Prince Amukamara.

Sorry but those players are nowhere near that level. Bootle and Barry are above average players but that's it. They look better than they are because of how bad the rest of the defense is.

Maybe you right, but I picked them as better players not because of their statistics. Its all about their effort, passion, footworks, work hard, read well and play smart that s what I has seen them played in every snapped.

Barry's a good player, no doubt. I'm still not sold on Bootle. But guys like Lavonte David and Prince Amukamara are far more talented and play at a higher effort level than these two. You got to remember those guys played on a national championship caliber defense. This year we're going to have somewhere around a 3-9 season with 3-9 talent across the board. When a decent player plays next to 3-9 talent, of course he's going to look good and look like an All American in comparison, but in reality he's nowhere close.

Gifford is playing well, Lemar Jackson reminds me of Erwin Swiney all you ever see is the back of his jersey chasing someone down field. Our D ends do nothing but get out of the way of the ball carrier, Neal is a good one as he knows the D and where to line up, so far that about sums this topic up.

Maybe the talent around them made them better players than they were....You said they played on a NC level defense. Well that means the other 9 guys were good to.

Can't have it both ways.

Where was David in 2010 in the Big 12 championship game besides getting smashed into the ground by OL..and whifing on crucial 3rd down sacks

For the most part yes, but he played pretty well at Michigan. A blowout yes, but go watch the film. Was as physical as he has ever been.

I thought Lamar Jackson played well against Michigan too. There was a screen play Michigan ran and Lamar Jackson blew it up.
