Florida may very well jump us. That's a completely valid point. But they may not jump us - which would not be an unreasonable ranking for Florida. Marquette's only game since the last AP poll was vs. Georgetown. Georgetown was tied with Marquette (64-64) with 2:09 left. It was still a one-possession game (Marquette 66-Geortetown 64) at 0:46 left. I don't think Marquette's win over Georgetown will elevate them above the 'Cats in Monday's poll. Just MHO, of course.

We'll either stay at No. 6 or drop to No, 7 if Florida gets ranked above U.K.

But, whatever ... Go 'Cats ! ! !

Wade Taylor is nowhere near as good as Sears. Alabama was missing Wrightsell and Mallette too.
When did I compare Wade Taylor to Sears?

Both players are point guards and both players are extremely key to their teams success. So that's why I said taking Sears off the court for Alabama would neuter them, just like misding Taylor neutered aTm.

Texas a&m is built differently, Wade is extremely inportant, because they don't really have any other offensive weapons and Wade is their best on-ball defender, that's very important when you're playing Alabama.

That isn’t true. Alabama has plenty of on-ball creation and shooting to replace Sears. It’s not the same at all.

Right, I wasn't really bringing it up to say they shouldn't move up, I'm just saying they got really lucky that they got a neutered aTm team on the road. If Taylor played, Bama doesn't win.
Disagree. Alabama is the better team, Sears or not. Realistically that game would not have been close without the refs indulging A&M’s foul baiting.

I take it you're an Alabama fan.
Look at the score, without their best player, aTm got it within one possession at a minute left, but you're saying Alabama still wins if Wade plays? Yeah… .no.

2 tough road games to split should stay put with who else loss, but knowing how they treat us 2 spot drop I assume. GA should be ranked this week after taking down 2 ranked teams they are 14-2 with their only losses being to ranked teams.

Since Ga. upended another ranked team, making a loss to them not look quite as bad, I say UK drops to 8-9.

I don't think they drop anything at all. You gave the sport another great game you don't deserve to go down a spot...
Kentucky is one of the reasons college basketball is better than the NBA to watch..

I think we will be in 6 to 8 range.

People aren't gonna like this but I expect FL to jump us.
Maybe based on record and their big win this week. Wouldn’t surprise me…

but since the head to head was literally this week I think it keeps us ahead of them in combo with our overall resume and 4 NET top 12 wins

We will fall to #7, behind Marquette. Florida is 8, and I think we stay ahead of them. UConn was 9 and A&M 10, and they both lost. That's about right, a 2 seed. I would take a 2 seed in the Duke or Iowa State region.
Don’t know about staying ahead of Florida. They demolished the number 1 team and even more impressive, won a road game against a HOF coach.

Trying to remember, did Evansville move up in the rankings after winning on the road against a HOF
coach or did they stay at 331
