Cashman probably got duped into thinking he was going to be able to get Lopez from the Marlins. Even so, this was a dumb, dumb, dumb trade. You have a homegrown lefty who is comfortable pitching in NY. He was consistent and reliable. So far, I have not seen any good justification for the trade. Just stupid.
