Bronco... close one. I'm feeling the need.... the need for speed. lot less questions regarding o and d lines going into this season. I would suggest a high rate of running plays vs. pass, but deep at receiver too.

My heart says 31-21 good guys.

I need to see MS get back to QBU before I can pick them again vs Bronco. Same this with JC...one of us needs to defeat this damn bronco...they just keep bucking me in the chest, the heart, and one time right in the nuts.

Another classic week 1 tilt... Who ya got?

Mr. Bones,

This will be a good one I think. I was at the last game Montini played at MS and it was a thriller. I think that Montini wins this one on the ground. I really think that Walker will have a great game. I don't think that its a good idea to predict the final score because this game over the last few years has always been really a tight one.

I really think that Montini will be running alot this year.

That said I think Montini wins but I won't predict the final.

27-13 Montini, saw both teams in the summer and MS seemed to take a step back this year. I didn't spend a lot of time watching them so I could be wrong but in the 20 minutes I saw them they seemed to not be near the team they were in the past.

You throw a big an experience line in the mix it evens things out a little for MS. These team know each other well and the final scores the last three years show it. 14 pts would be a blow out

Montini will win big, sorry guys. The senior QB has no experience. He was hurt sophomore year out for the whole season. He got in for a few plays last year as back up then same thing. Hurt for the rest of the season. He is also short for a QB and cant see over the line. If MS starts the junior QB they might have a chance. The Junior is about 6'4 I think and has a lot of experience.

The Jr's time will come. Not this year though.

Their backup last year was a Luke Stone who graduated. Norgle, a junior is the starter this year. I believe the backup this year is Matt Morrissey who is also a junior.

I think the worry is on MS this year if they start the senior. They would be better off starting the junior. Train him this year and have a great year next year. Like I said before, the senior has not played any real time since freshman year except summer 7 on 7 play and that is a different game. When a line is in front of you and you are only 5,8 you cant see over the line. I hope I am wrong, but I don't think I am.

I think you are right pigskinpaul. The senior has also been injured two times. Torn ACL and broken jaw. Worked hard to recover but you are never the same after that. All the best to MS. One more day baby.

Morning Boys... MS wins in a close one.

Yes, the Sr. has been hurt, however he is a stud. Extremely well trained.
His experience level could hamper a bit in the beginning, but he plays with confidence.

The Jr will be a player, and will get playing time sooner or later.

I think the surprise here might just be the MS defense.

Hoping that was a wakeup call for Montini. Let's see if they can rebound against Lake Zurich. MS played great. The Montini defense was nonexistent.

Ok dad PRokie I am glad to see the win. As far as the stud goes he has some more to show me. He did run ok and the short passes were fine but over threw the longer passes by a lot. Cant see over the line in front of him. Roll outs were good. Standing next to him on the side lines I can tell you he is not 5,10 like the program said. 5,8 for sure. The true stud here is Fotis. WOW what a game. I know people are saying that Prince and the top wide receiver were not in the game but I do not see how they would have taken this away from MS. This Mont team is not good. Lets hope the $10,000 one of the assistant coaches put up to train these boys at EFT in the off season works. We will see at the next game. Loyola. I did see the the interview the father (you maybe) forced himself into after the game. What a tool! lolol. What father does that. The young man can speak for himself. I hope it all works out well. Go Hawks

OSLN, do you have one playing or played in the past?

They have mine listed at 6'0... RIGHT!

In either case, after all of the questions about QB having been hurt in past, he answered those questions. As far as pushing his dad into an interview... I didn't even know about it!
After all of the CRAP that has gone on and been said, his dad was definitely overwhelmed with emotion. It's been a long road for Nick, I just hope he stays healthy.
Leongas gives MS the oppurtunity to play their natural offense for the first time in 2 yrs, and he will definitely be competitive. The receiving corps is as good as they have had in 10 yrs, and he will find them. This group came in well prepared with a chip on their shoulder. Seeing over the line...the same has been said about others at many levels. So what. Our QB last year had a decent arm, and ran like Daffy Duck. I'll take this one for sure. He's a leader.

Fotis is totally a "wow". Period

The Greek Freaks will set the stage for sure.

The EFT offseason along with the new O line coach will make a difference. For once footwork is a focus, and I believe it will pay off. This o line overall isn't huge, but they are athletic for sure.

This team is motivated with something to prove, and they play well together.

Hopefully we will give Hollywood a good game. They deserve our very best.

NO ONE wants to see a young man get hurt. I am sure we all want to see a state trophy in the show case. (Maine Souths showcase) Daffy Duck, lol thats a good one. He did not need to run. He could pass. He is playing at the University of Chicago. Brains and an arm. Dual threat. And yes you are right. A lot of crap has been said over the last few years. Dads can get crazy. But I have always believed in karma. Labus88 use to post crap about Nick and last years starter all the time. That is because the senior beat his kid out for the QB position as a sophomore. His kid got a scholarship to Army. A DUI got him kicked off the team and out of the school I think. He never said anything about that did he. So be careful with the name calling. I never called a young man a name. I just call it like I see it on the field. The father is a different story. He has said a lot of hurtful things about players to people around town too. People in this town talk. Go Hawks and stay healthy

I was really happy to see the BIG win. But let us not get ahead of ourselves. Montini is not a good team this year. Even with Prince Walker they couldn't have pulled this one off. Lets wait to see what happens with Loyola. A win there would seal the deal for me. I agree with you on the father thing too. Even my kid on the team sees it lol. A tool most definitely. But these boys work hard I am sure like any other team. Its the heart and will that wins. Go Hawks!!!!!

I have an idea MS fans. Let's not worry about fathers or past player's indiscretions. Instead how about we enjoy this awesome victory and how well our boys played.

I wasn't name calling, but rather associating an athletic issue in a comedic way. A mere reference as opposed to an attack.
The sad truth is unfortunately we have not built our schemes around what we have as opposed to forcing what we have into our scheme. That poor kid was forced to play in an offense he wasn't built to play in, and I can't ever remember seeing any kid walk on the field with the intention to suck. In this case, a bad fit.

One thing is for sure, I'll own what I say every time and not hide behind anonymity.

Well said MS... Together we are stronger.
Let's not let the bitter ruin the wine!
