34-6 Montini. Good effort by MCHS, Orlando played well, solid play by the secondary. Would still be a different team with Prince Walker playing. Hopefully he's back soon.

First off the field was kinda of muddy in spots and kinda affected both sides. Montini had a 21-0 lead at half thanks to touchdowns by Smith, Karczewski and I think Shigalis. Morrissey made a a couple of nice throws to keep the offense rolling early but had a pick in the end zone on an overthrown ball. He just missed on a couple of longer passes but overall play a good game. Orlando & Smith made some real nice runs and our offensive line did a good job blocking on most plays. Smith scored 2 TDs, one on a short run and another on a longer run. The O line had a few breakdowns and we lost yardage on a few running plays but for the most part dominated the line of scrimmage. Spivak played a lights out game and I seen him take out two DLS linemen on one running play #26 made some real nice blocks for Orlando on the option plays and Orlando scored a TD on one. Montini even put in West at QB in the wildcat formation and he made some nice runs. Quaglia had a nice catch and run for a TD also.I did not make the game and can't find any articles on it so I can only get information from here.
Did Orlando start at QB? I heard Smith had 2 TD's.

Good luck to DLS who played hard against Montini. Good athletes on both teams!Failed to add DLS six turnovers and led to three scores, Montini played well. Eye opener for the Meteors and last three games are all tough games. We shall see
are pretty much cup cake games..
Sparty playing bronco at bronco this year. Sparty not good this year. If they play bronco tough last game of season at bronco home I will be concerned for Broncos post season success.Bronco's never beat St. Francis on their new field. Cupcake is not a term you use against a rival. Let it be said this never was said from anyone from Montini.

No you're wrong, I appreciate your attempt at political correctness but Montini blows out St Francis.Got that wrong but this is a rivalry game and it does not matter how good or bad your playing, it will be a close game.

I didn't say run it up. They didn't run it up vs DLS last week but they blew them out.TPF,
Montini could, but they won't blow SF out. I don't think they will run it up.
You're not on the team or coaching staff you don't have to say they need to focus on DePaul Prep, no one believes you.Montini needs to focus on its next game at DePaul Prep period. Mount Carmel (at home) is the next game and will be IMO the defining game for Montini. The team is finally starting to come together with a lot of juniors and some sophs playing well. If they play them close and don't get blown out like they did versus BR and Fenwick its a new season as far as I am concerned.
Thanks for your comment. While I definitely believe Montini will beat DePaul Prep, I am a firm believer in the "take one game at a time" philosophy. Montini, IMO has some players that still need some playing time at various positions and the DePaul game will hopefully give them the opportunity to showcase their talents. Montini has definitely been getting better as a team as the season has progressed, but we have a lot of juniors starting both on offense and defense. There are still some areas both on the offense and defense sides of the ball where game experience, regardless who they play, will benefit the team as well as the playersYou're not on the team or coaching staff you don't have to say they need to focus on DePaul Prep, no one believes you.
Francis is terrible this year. All kinds of issues, too many to list. Montini by a ton.Got that wrong but this is a rivalry game and it does not matter how good or bad your playing, it will be a close game.

The next loss a team suffers because random fans are speculating about the next game will be the first! We all love looking ahead... but what about the potential for bad karma? Assuming a win invites the wrath of the football Gods!!

Appreciate your comment but still believe it would be foolish to look past any team next up in your schedule. The more playing time the juniors and some sophs get the better for the playoffs as well as for next year's team. If DePaul is such a pushover as you suggest this is the game to get some of the underutilized players some playing time. I hope you don't feel that is irrelevant. Last year when Montini went undefeated many of the now starting juniors didn't participate in one down offensively or defensively (which is certainly understandable) but their inexperience showed up in our first couple of games especially on defense. Whether that hurt their development playing as a unit is debatable depending on how a person feels about team development.Fans that have zero effect on the preparation or mindset of anyone involved in the game can look ahead. Some might even say that's the point of this board. DePaul is awful, people here want to talk about your matchup with Mt Carmel they don't care that you aren't willing to look past a team your Siphomores would beat.
