Khyri Thomas from Creighton is staying in the NBA draft so Creighton is now losing both guards (and two best players) from this year. So they will most likely regress (though the Big East is completely wide open) but can sell ample playing time.

I think Texas Tech is in a similar position having lost four starters.

Barring new competitors, hopefully Mooney sees NU as the best option to play a lot on a good team.

Question being whether Collins and staff have been able to convince him that he would, indeed, play a lot on a pretty deep team (or at least enough to come to NU).

Yes the fact that he hasn’t decided does make me wonder if he was waiting for the dust to settle on what the Creighton roster will look like next year before deciding. Not saying that Khyri’s decision eliminates NU, but it does present a more stark contrast — play on a deeper team, or play on a team that perhaps needs to lean on you a bit more?

Haywood expressed concern in the other thread that the longer it goes on, the less confidence he has. Not entirely sure why.

We don’t know whether he’s decided or not. We just know he hasn’t communicated anything.

i honestly don't know on this one. its been a strange process. i think NU is in the mix as much as any other school.
