With Robinson out, we’re probably not gonna win any postseason games anyway. Keep in mind Pope has never won a tournament game so this doesn’t make me feel any better about him changing that.
We just need to give it all we got. Pope has to use the system and shoot 30 3’s. It’s our best chance now. Shoot teams out of the game.
I don't see him doing it. It was fun earlier in the season, and I'm sure he loved talking about it, but it exposed the fact that the guys didn't like getting physical or pounding the glass. Now he's got Amari FINALLY fighting in there, and is trying to get the other guys on board. We saw Brea drive to the basket several times today, that was encouraging! Pope is worried that a bunch of threes will result in a bunch of defensive rebounds.
He can’t worry about it now. It’s our only shot overcoming the injury situation.

First, we need to get players open to shoot the three. That’s the coaching staffs job and clearly they’ve failed to do so.
Still hopeful we get 1 NCAA win but jeez this has been a hard frustrating season since December.
He won't do it, and if we lose by pulling a West Virginia type of loss, BBN will melt down.

Maybe philosophy should be to jack up threes ie at least 30 / game and have big guys crash the boards. This is better than turning the ball over 20 times with failed back door cuts or inability to penetrate to the rim due to faulty ball handling or in Butlers case inability to avoid blocked shots.
Problem is we don't have the athletes or quickness to get open shots against good defenses. We have great shooters that struggle to get open looks.
Hell, just pack it in and not play the rest of the season. Fire Pope. We’re what, 6 months into this experiment. Let’s give another guy 6 months to win a national championship and if that doesn’t work, fire him too.
4-5 years from firing coaches every year we’re bound to get lucky eventually. Completely melt down this wonderful fan base and board.

Auburn hit 12 3’s and we hit 4. That’s the ball game. I actually loved the minutes distribution today and it should look that way. Normal game from a Oweh today and we would have been pretty close. The season isn’t or yet.
We were a preseason 23rd ranked team with talk about whether or not we would be the tournament team. People have quickly forgotten those preseason bracketologies where we were a bubble team. Even without Jaxson, we are better than that and it is a credit to the coach who has done an outstanding job.
Without Jax this is just a meh team. Now I still think they can a couple of more wins
