Agreed. I like the hire and Mo was always a player who looked like he'd have a career in coaching, but how good can he really be if Pope is the head coach?? If we had Red Auerbach as an assistant, would it make any difference?

Yes I jumped the gun on Coach O he honestly should've kept him. I admit I was wrong can you admit if you're wrong? Let's be honest Pope should've never been hired from the beginning even though I gave that a shot too even went to Rupp for the press conference . To be honest the guys that Pope brought in were great at their previous spots so figured they would do something here and they didn't do jack because Pope can't close the deal. Hart and Brooks will do great at there next stops too.
It might not be to be an assistant for Pope but Orlando will 100% be back here. He still has a home here. He raised his kid here. He never wanted to leave. He knows this place is Camelot. He'll be back.
this will be proven out in the next 4-6 weeks. writing is on the wall, pope needs to win big next season or its over. and in order to win big he needs to land a haul of really good players. we will see if mo williams can deliver here soon and if he doesnt, then as you point out.....the head coach is the problem.
